If Snake can keep this up, I'll give him a realistic shot at Mega Man.
And the trend of "massive overperformance - massive underperformance -
massive overperformance" is holding up. At this rate, we can expect
Yoshi/Dante to be a 50/50 affair while Sora breaks 70% on Gordon

Ganon and Zelda wouldn't beat Squall, I think. With Vincent, it'd be terribly close, again. I said next year, and I think they both would beat him. It's not like Ganon and Zelda are far from Squall at all. They're practically equal, or they would be practically equal, this year unless Vincent does go and beat Sonic. TP is more than capable of boosting them enough to beat Squall, who I don't think is the strongest non-Noble Nine character by any means. That spot goes to Vincent. --- The Master Sword is the most sought-after blade in Hyrule. He who wields it carries with him the hope of the kingdom. |

Oh, and I still take Squall over every non-Noble. Make no mistake

The Elite Eight being the sprite round last year was an oddity, actually. I'm hoping it stays that way. Didn't somebody suggest the reason for that was because of Master Chief making it to Round 3? Assuming the trends right now hold for the rest of the match (LOL FIRST
FIFTEEN MINUTES), I don't think it takes away from the fact that
Square's been damn impressive thus far. There are other mitigating
factors going into this match that shouldn't take away from that.

I've played through both mgs1 and 2 and don't really see much appeal either, but he's definitely more tolerable to have in the noble nine then cloud and sephiroth. Of course other noble niners that I happen to like, such as link and crono have pretty much zero personality, but meh. --- When D... don't have sprites like Rikku, Tifa, Aeris, Yuna, Dante (if he makes

| If snake can actually stay at this level through
the whole match, either the devil division is overrated after all, or
snake shares some sort of sff with playstation square characters as
seen last year in his match with sora. I'd be morei nclined to believe
the ladder, since the devil division being overrated would leave the
other devil divisioners first round performances with a hell of a lot

lol @ people who thought Squall had a chance to beat Snake. Why do
people pick on Snake every year? I mean, In the past we have had quite
a few people boneheaded enough to think Zelda,Zero,Magus,Sora and now

Mario 59.31% 57,494 Squall 40.69% 39,451 TOTAL VOTES 96,945 (2k5 xstats). This would be the reason for Snake/Squall SFF Soul. Snake is not that close to Mario (or above him if Squall doesn't bring it down). --- Z1mZum owned me in the guru contest (by two points!). Damn you Z1mZum! |

Auron and Dante have had their polygon used in the sprite round once before, and I'd expect that to be the same fix for Rikku and Aeris. | Ya know, considering this is probably an SFF-match
(we've seen Squall's jump in 2k3, FF7/MGS, Sephiroth/Liquid,
Solid/Sora, MGS's performance in the Top Ten, and now today...just adds
up, is all), I find it weird that -- even for the board vote --
Squall's not doing better right now. Between their match in 2k2 and
today, here's three things that have gone in Squall's favor: --KH, KH:CoM, and KH2 have been released since then, while Solid has a MGS2 port, MGS3 (which has spoilers that might be worth detracting from this), and SSB/MGS4 hype. --Instead of it being a 2/15-seed match, it's now a 1/4-seed match. --Solid now has a picture less people are familiar with. It's not bad at all, but it's from a game nobody's ever played...ever, yet, with him looking much older. Yet despite that, Solid is still stomping that ass hardcore. Squall's goin' to make this look a good deal more respectable, but considering the gains he made indirectly on Solid and how this "shared fanbase" has had much more of Squall lately than Solid, I figured that this would make a bigger difference than it's doing. I guess in SFF matches, it's so much harder to make a voter change his mind for the other character? Someone explain to me this SFF, please. *points to FFVII/MGS, Sephiroth/Liquid, and Snake/Sora* For some reason, MGS and FF-related things (for all intents and purposes, you might as well consider Sora among that group) have odd performances. But if this is Snake being legitimate, he's beating the guy who beat Knuckles with a performance he'd normally put up on Knuckles.
