How is Mewtwo less known than any pokemon not named Pikachu? Mewtwo's definitely up there, but I'd still argue the RBY starters and maybe Jigglypuff have more popularity than him. Of course, this is GameFAQs, so who knows how much that would affect voters. RBY starters may tug their nostalgia, or Mewtwo could just get more votes from being badass. Of course, the best thing to do would be to get Mewtwo and a RBY starter in the same contest and see what happens (as long as they don't face each other Round 1, which I wouldn't put past CJayC). --- Hispanics 2 | Whites 5 Asians 5 | Blacks 3 |

Here, better. Mewtwo Fox Wario Mog Rocket (DQ Heroes: Rocket Slime) FFXII character (Vaan, I guess, but he looks so lame ;_;) Midna (That's the TP character, right?) Gato (He has metal joints) Knuckles Bomberman Pac-Man Shadow Magus Akuma Vivi PROJECT H.A.M.M.E.R. GUY Wario and Mewtwo are top two we need next contest (barring Pac- or Bomber Men in SSBB). Wario has the potentially to boost hugely, and Mewtwo would just be interesting to see... and I think he's probably the strongest Pokemon... him or Charizard. Mog and Rocket could test how much recognizability factors in... due to them being a Moogle and a Slime... it could be neato. --- Dancing with myself! Oh-oh! Dancing with myself! Oh-oh! I don't know the Pokemon fanbase very well, but it wouldn't surprise me
at all if Mewtwo ended up strongest of all the Pokemon, even Pikachu.
He's definitely got more casual appeal than any other Pokemon does, I'd

I don't question for a moment that Mewtwo would be stronger than

I'd guess Charizard is the most popular pokemon. Everyone went nuts
over its card back in the day; it had the ultimate kiddy appeal, plus

Ye gods, who would win a female villain contest? The only female in the
regular villains contest was Mother Brain (and that's stretching it),
which means Kerrigan probably wouldn't be eligible. And the only
villains in this bracket are...The Boss and Carmen Sandiago (I guess).

Am I the only one that doesn't think Akuma would be all that great? I
can't see him being stronger than any of the original 12 Street Fighter

I don't know, Charizard was THE card to have in the card game, had much
more exposure in the Anime than Mewtwo, and is overall just much more
badass-looking than Mewtwo, not to mention all the RBY players who
likely chose Charmander and have fond memories of Charizard owning

1 - Mario 3 8 - Dragon Quest VIII 4 - Oblivion 5 - Castlevania: SOTN 3 - Goldeneye 007 6 - Fable 2 - Kingdom Hearts 2 7 - Contra Very nice. Although the winner of the division is never in doubt, there is some good stuff with Goldeneye and Kingdom Hearts II. Oblivion might be worth something, too, but with SOTN being underrated last year, it seems pretty doubtful. 1 - OOT 8 - Gran Turismo 3 4 - Devil May Cry 5 - Mega Man X 3 - Final Fantasy X 6 - Mario Kart DS 2 - Starcraft 7 - Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow I love that Ocarina of Time gets to maul everything in this division. DMC/MMX would have been great before the Series Contest, I think, but I would have complete confidence in MMX. Still, it's a great match-up that I bet a lot of people would be thrown for a loop on. FFX/SC in the second round is great as well. 1 - Halo 2 8 - Diablo 2 4 - Sonic 3 & Knuckles 5 - Mega Man 3 3 - Super Mario World 6 - Devil May Cry 3 2 - FF8 7 - Soul Calibur ...This whole division is pretty crazy. Halo 2/Diablo 2 should be good. S3&K/MM3 is another insane one -- though I favor MM3 quite a bit -- and Super Mario World against FFVIII is gold as well. ...Hell, that division doesn't even really have a clear winner. 1 - FF6 8 - Kirby Superstar 4 - Super Metroid 5 - World of Warcraft 3 - Metal Gear Solid 6 - Pac-Man 2 - Mario 64 7 - Tales of Symphonia SM64/MGS is brilliant. SM/WoW is great, too, but it doesn't get much debate past that considering its second round opponent. 1 - GTA:SA 8 - Super Smash Brothers 4 - Final Fantasy 9 5 - Soul Calibur 2 3 - Zelda: MM 6 - Metal Gear Solid 2 2 - RE4 7 - Skies of Arcadia Pretty much every damn match in this division is good. RE4 against MM/MGS2 is very nice; GTA/SSB is pretty good. 1 - LTTP 8 - Katamari Damacy 4 - Half-Life 2 5 - GTA: VC 3 - Pokemon Red 6 - Tetris 2 - Metal Gear Solid 3 7 - Sonic 2 Eh, not too much here that I really like. I suppose you have to have that one lesser division though. 1 - CT 8 - Donkey Kong Country 2 4 - Starfox 64 5 - Chrono Cross 3 - Halo 6 - Zelda 1 2 - Metroid Prime 7 - Super Mario RPG SF64 and Chrono Cross is great. Halo/LoZ is damn awesome. MP/SMRPG is awesome considering that SMRPG could be underrated. The winner of that match against Halo/LoZ is crazy, too. 1 - SSBM 8 - Xenosaga Episode I 4 - Final Fantasy Tactics 5 - God of War 3 - Kingdom Hearts 6 - Mario Kart 64 2 - Mario 1 7 - Street Fighter 2 Most of this division seems pretty easy to me. SSBM wins it without trouble, GoW/FFT is great, KH/MK64 is good, SMB beats SF2, and then beats the winner of KH/MK64. --- "Looking good, Princess, especially from this angle!" |

FFXII character (Vaan, I guess, but he looks so lame ;_;) Midna (That's the TP character, right?) Balthier and Ashe will probably be much better than Vaan will be. Mewtwo is the proven "most popular" Pokemon. -He has virtually no hate, and no reason to get hate (Pikachu and Charizard are considered cheesy mascots of the game) -He is always remembered as the badass ultimate Pokemon that would tear apart your opponents. -Super Smash Bros. oh yeah, that bracket was FF7 vs. the winner at the end. it needs a lot
of tweaking, especially given the results of the series contest.
(Diablo 2 looked like Starcraft part 2 before FF laid the smackdown --

KOS-MOS had a new game, yes, but I also think TJF is for real today. Why are you guys almost unanimously picking Halo 2 over Starcraft? Wouldn't the sequel do slightly worse? Judging by the series contest, things seems a bit more in favor of Starcraft rather than Halo these days, seeing Halo lose and Warcraft win. MC lose to Sub-Zero, and I'm skeptical MC (Halo) is even as strong now as he was last year. In fact, KOS-MOS has never really given up too much during the day
against any character she was up against (Luigi, Ryu). I think that was
