Then again, there is a chance that this is all a fluke. I mean you
don't usually fluke 50 vote gains per update three or four times in a
row, >_>, but still. If Peach is still doing something like this
by 9 (GMT) then I'll be ready to accept that Peach is likely going to
make a comeback. --- http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs9/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=22242738 Sign plz AC2K6 Score: 36/38 Today: Peach |

"Smurf axing in 5, 4, 3..." :) 'Course, being a repeat offender I wouldn't be all that surprised if he got KoS'd instead. I wonder how tollerant Ceej is on those sorts of matters. Oh well, I don't really think Smurf had anything to do with it, it's just another spike like any other. --- If this post was overly verbose, that means I tried very hard to not call you an idiot. Now I know all the kiddies and fanbabies have been wondering...where
did Steve Illumina, reviled and loved Sage of Board 8 go this contest? Cue the narrator... "Well, loyal Sage of Board 8 fans and supporters, he sits tied with 300 or so others in 2nd place at 36 points, very much still alive in this contest after this past summer contest's amazing run of perfection that he had that outlasted every other analyst, elitist, and big mouth so called know-it-all noobie on this here thread! He took a break from writing analyses this time around but only for the first two rounds, angry at fair weather FF fanboyism...they supported Tifa over The Boss but not Celes. And Celes is ten times the character Tifa will ever be. Just cause Tifa can punch like Leila Ali and has "thingies" the size of honeydew...thats why she got the votes and it is appalling to the real gamers who have played FF since the battles were fought on a black background. But Celes? Kick her to the curb these so called FF fanbabies do! In anger at losing his perfect, he took a much needed break... He lost his second point with irony...as his favorite game series, represented by Subby Zero, took out the Chief to end Round 1. He smiled with great pride when Subby Zero took out the Hero of Halo, smashing fanbaby dreams and giving his fav series, Mortal Kombat, its first victory in a couple years in these contests. Now Subby will have a nice pic when he goes for the 2nd upset of his career here against Auron. Too bad it wont happen... OK with these low level losses, he devised a bracket that will bring him worldwide acclaim...and to do that he plans for a Perfect Round 2, and Peach will not fail him in that pursuit. Neither will the great upstart Vinny when he takes out the fading year-by-year Blue Blob Sonic next week...and before that, in 3 days, when the upset with the lowest prediction percentage in contest history happens...that one being when the massively over-rated and never done nothing Yuna falls to the underrated Nintendite, Joanna Dark. It will be that day, that at long last, he gets his dream of Leaderboard Glory fulfilled, and every user everywhere knows the name, Steve Illumina..." :) --- Steve Illumina: Sage of Board 8 & Elitist Analyst 36/38 (2nd!) Next Win: Peach! |

I think we'll be seeing a repeat of that insane
period where Peach was getting 50+ gains per update a few times. Kids
don't have an organised effort to spread their votes evenly throughout
when they get home - those massive peach scores we saw was the product
of mass kids getting on and voting at once. What we're seeing NOW is
the rest of them. Peach will do that...what, three more times? Not sure if she can do it. Of course I'm likely speaking out of my ass, but that was definitely a pattern - Peach goes insane, then wins updates by half as much as she was. --- http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs9/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=22242738 Sign plz AC2K6 Score: 36/38 Today: Peach |
