ShatteredElysium | Posted 10/17/2006 10:18:23 AM | message detail |
Peach's vote decline could be down to school dinner times. I know that
the school I attended had computers that anybody could use in their
free time. With the way american timezones are, that covers what, 3
hours? Peach's vote declines could simply be down to the fact that the
last timezone has gone back to classes and Peaches totals shouldn't go
back up now until school is out. It's pretty farfetched but could be true. I personally don't feel that there has been any stuffing in this match. |

Sounds about right. :p Kidding. I'm impressed by how Jill is doing so far. I don't think it'll hold up very well when the schools let out, though... --- Aerith: Who would you go for? Marth, Roy, or Link? If you had to choose. Peach: Link. I'd sooner slap the other two around. Literally. |

Jill is not only gaining, she totally destroing Peach right now. --- Supporter of Ryu. |
THEJackSparrow | Posted 10/17/2006 10:22:09 AM | message detail |
Jill is gaining big time right now. If she keeps this up, Peach would need an after school vote like MC's to beat her. --- Captain Jack Sparrow's Run to the NCAA Character Contest II Championship: Week 4: #21 Doctor Zoidberg (3-0) |

60 vote gain? Sexy! --- Smurf The Cream of Sonic Fanboyism |
ShatteredElysium | Posted 10/17/2006 10:23:25 AM | message detail |
I never said that. If you look at Jill's vote totals, they've also
fallen, just not as much. Peach would benefit more than Jill from all
the kiddies being at computers. Like I said, it's only me hazarding a guess but would roughly explain the change in vote patterns. |

Claire took the lead from Kairi and built it up some around this time-period, didn't she? There's no doubt in my mind Peach cuts down on the votes when school goes out. I just hope she's no DK or Bowser with the day-vote. --- Damn, most of my dates involve mocking and/or beating up people like you and your bride-to-be, so I really have no advice --Horatio |

ShatteredElysium | Posted 10/17/2006 10:33:40 AM | message detail |
Peach will cut it down on the after school vote but whether she'll cut it down 1000+ votes is a different matter. By the time the kids get home it'll be short of a 1500 vote deficit. It's a big ask and it'll become obvious fairly early on whether she has a chance of doing it or not. |

Zylo the wolf | Posted 10/17/2006 10:44:37 AM | message detail |
actually, Ryu Hayabusa had the lead now. And Jill's highest lead on him was around 400. Of course the whole Jill VS Ryu Hayabbusa match is fishy because it was one of the few polls that got a repoll. --- Supporter of Ryu. |
Karma Hunter | Posted 10/17/2006 10:49:47 AM | message detail |
Hmm...wow, I did *not* expect Jill to be up by
this much, or really up at all by this time. Sucks for my bracket, but
this is awesome stuff here. Of course, we still have "lol day vote" and "lol Smurf" in the wings...I really don't see her pulling this off, but it's okay. Also, if you believe Jill is still at her 2k4 value (and wasn't underrated), Wario is probably stronger than Jill at this point. Putting him at Vyse 2k3's level (which is what you get when you adjust through Shadow 2k4), and adding in a comfortable Nintendo boost, he'd end up beating Jill more than Peach is going to. And even if that's not enough, he'll surely be ahead once SSBB comes out. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

Yeah, Peach still has a very legitimate chance here. I really don't
think this match will finish at over 1000 votes between the two,
whatever happens. Oh, and if there was absolutely no vote stuffing before, that MASSIVE Jill spike from 1031 to 1100 definitely was, IMO. Then again, I've never bothered to look for vote stuffing before (people have done it for me >_>). --- http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs9/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=22242738 Sign plz AC2K6 Score: 36/38 Today: Peach |

It's not a 'normal' occurance...but I think it'll happen here. I'm just
not too worried. Sort of like during MC/DK. Now, of course we had
extensive data on both characters (and it was Master Chief against frigging Donkey Kong),
but with this being RE vs Nintendo I'm anticipating a very healthy vote
shift for Peach. Maybe she's like DK -- who knows? -- but if you were
to put a gun to my head and ask me who wins right now, I'd say Peach. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

vote stuffing is a non issue and shouldn't be talked about. if it
happens and it's detectable then cjayc will catch it and the match will
be redone/fixed whatever. if it's done and it isn't detectable then as
far as i'm concerned it isn't cheating and anyone crying about it
should be spending that cry time trying to stuff votes themselves. all
this said, no one has mentioned if the match is or isn't on pace with
vote totals compared to other matches. facts first, crying later? --- All my base are belong to Yoblazer, winner of the Guru Contest. |

Hey you guys remember when Masterchief pulled his HUGE comeback against Sub-Zero when the afterschool voters came?
