Zero looks like he lines up pretty well with his score last year. But take into consideration these factors: He faced Mario last year He faced Luigi this year MM has proven that he has SFF to contend with in regards to Nintendo characters (See: Link, possibly Yoshi) --- If B8 were any more like the WWE I'd be getting paid for this message. If you mark someone for flaming/trolling, you probably deserved it. |

So, what potential sff matches are there left in the contest in
everyones opinion? I don't know about the rest of the contest, but for
this round it seems like kirby vs. luigi is the only possibility left. Luigi/Kirby and maybe Snake/Squall depending on how that goes. Maybe not SFF, but Snake overperforming more than he should has been tossed around a lot. Other than that, I can't think of anything. --- "Thank You Mario! But our Princess is in another castle!" |

Samus/Zelda has potential SFF. Sonic/Luigi could be weird if
Mario/Shadow is any indication, but that's questionable at best.

SFF matches eh? Well, Mega Man/Samus will likely be fishy (since of course it is going to happen). Luigi/Kirby and Luigi/Sonic are the only other ones I could think of. Samus/Zelda might be wierd, but I really don't think Samus/Ganon is that wierd, unless Ganon just sucks as bad as Samus does with SFF, in which case Zelda should do better, so she might get an overperformance. --- Z1mZum owned me in the guru contest (by two points!). Sometimes I think characters have a minimum percentage threshold that
they'll always obtain no matter who they face (with a few SFF
exceptions). That is, any character at a certain tier or above is going

You would think so, but the past has indicated that isn't really so.
And, due to characters like Vyse it almost seems as if the reverse is

| It could (and probably will) all depend on the Samus/Zelda SFF. There's no doubt in my mind that if Ganon, the ultimate leech, can break 40%, a stronger Zelda can avoid SFF altogether and even rSFF Samus. Seeing Zelda hit 45% wouldn't surprise me at all. |

There's no doubt in my mind that if Ganon, the ultimate leech, can

| It's certainly not a guarantee; it's more of a gut feeling that Zelda will do better with regards to SFF. If I ask who the stats topic (or the board in general) would take in a Ganon/Zelda match, I'd be pretty surprised if there were more than a select few Ganon supporters. |

Really? I always assumed Ganondorf would be favored there. Maybe not now
since he's lost to Vincent (and now he has two Non-Noble blemishes on
his record as opposed to Zelda having none), but I always considered

What is this crazy nonsense about Tifa breaking 45% on Samus?
Assuming she wasn't underrated in those stats that year, Tifa would
have to be stronger than Solid Snake in 2005 for that. Yeah...no. What's so unreasonable about a 3.65 boost? 2% boosts are being tossed around all over the place, but Tifa gaining 3.65 from KH2 and AC is totally impossible? If you think Samus adjusted is underrated, then I can see how you can't possibly fathom Tifa breaking 45%. I never realised that was a popular sentiment on the board? It actually isn't too bad, really. It hurts for discussion -- minus today which had three pages worth of new discussion about something as silly as Tifa breaking 45% on Samus -- but it's a nice break! Not as silly as her failing to break 40%! --- CB: 32/34. Today: Tifa vs. The Boss. Tomorrow: Jill vs. Peach. |

Tifa couldn't even break 45% on Sonic. You're asking alot from me to
say she'll break 45% on Samus. Yeah, she's probably boosted, but I

And Dante > Tifa this year? Not happening. She was stronger last
year, and KH2 + AC >>>>>> DMC3: SE and DMC collection. AWW HELLS NAW! That crossed my mind briefly, but Sephiroth doubling up on poor Mega
Man changed my mind toot sweet. Unless Sephiroth getting that
much-hyped optional boss fight gave him a MUCH bigger boost in 2003
than Cloud got. Which means, err...Sephiroth for 2k6 Champ? OH HEY I'VE ONLY BEEN SAYING THIS FOREVER. It's been one of the many reasons why I don't believe in 2K2 to 2K3 being caused by KH, and size of the role mattering. --- Portugal. The Man Cheer Up Emo Kids |

I agree with Moltar, but at least this is more reasonable than the talk of Tifa beating both Sonic and Mega Man last year. Not really. Sonic is expected to get 46% on Samus using 2K5 stats, and that's assuming Samus really is that weak. Excuse me while I laugh at the notion that Tifa suddenly goes 50/50 with Sonic this year, after getting 43.5 on him last year. --- Hooray Beer, Hooray Proxies! |
