Interesting little tidbit: after browsing through the updater, I
realized that Tifa has lost (or barely eeked out a draw in) the day
vote in all four of her matches to date. I'd say that The Boss has a

Do take into consideration what 2k5 CATS does to 2k4 CATS in a match.
Face-pic CATS envokes the power of FAD, and therefore puts him up to
the fodder line. Being just below the fodderline shouldn't be a mark of

When all is said and done I fully expect The Boss to end up close to Big Boss...not
that I would take her to lose to him or characters around that level,
but after seeing FFVII/MGS and Sephiroth/Liquid I would have been

Given that Big Boss looks exactly like Solid Snake, I'd give him the edge. Assuming he gets the same picture that he did against Auron, I couldn't agree there. Maybe he could be mistaken for MGS4 Snake, but even that is highly unlikely. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

Well, I imagine Ceej probably wants to "level the field" which is why
the man didn't look as he should against Auron. Really, he had no
business winning that match. I doubt he'd hold back in a battle of the
bosses, though, since it'd be inconcequential and there'd be no proof

well, i must say - i really thought the biggest blowout Tifa would pull
was the 72% that Auron pulled off against Big Boss. this 75% does
impress me. Ivy > The Boss!? excellent. perhaps Nightmare wouldn't

But... SFF? I don't know about that. MGS Vs. FF7 SFF I'd be willing to buy. But MGS3 Vs. FF7 SFF I'm not so sure about. So fans of MGS suddenly stopped becoming fans by the time MGS3 rolled around? Not that I'm saying there is definite SFF here, but it's not absurd for a fanbase to move on to the next system to keep playing the games they like. This isn't the first time that people claim there shouldn't be SFF in that instance... Samus's match with tifa will be very interesting.finaly someone who can
actualy test her strenght,since first 2 characters she beat were
untested If samus let Tifa get 45% or more on her,i'd say things will look good for Crono |

So something I've been wondering a for bit, how much better do you MGS
fans think Meryl & Sniper Wolf would've been? (not particularily in
this match but overall) I remember being on a Metal Gear fansite prior to MGS3 (don't ask me to find, I've long since forgotten where it is) and one of the polls asked for their favorite female. Meryl & Wolf were tied for 1st and was far and away the two favorites. Ugh, I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. As to whether Meryl of Sniper Wolf would do better, I doubt it. The Boss is absolutely adored by the MGS fanbase, and is probably second only to Solid Snake among the fanbase. --- That... was her final mission. Tifa for the championship! Oh, wait, weren't we saying that last year? I refuse to believe Celes is weaker than Ultros and would nearly get doubled by Terra, when Terra isn't even really a main character. Also, may I observe that The Boss doesn't seem to be the typical MGS
character at ALL in terms of voting patterns. She was gaining on Celes
like crazy during the day, and she hasn't really shown too much
difference in her voting patterns this match -- she's just lost
percentage steadily throughout. I blame the board vote, we've got one

Awesome stuff from Tifa here. It'll be interesting to see how Zelda
fares against Terra, who should be a good deal weaker than The Boss.
There's probably quite some SFF involved here though. Now, what's this talk of Tifa getting 45%+ on Samus? You people are crazy. Tifa doesn't break 40%. Send it to the bank! http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2073 Assuming Big boss = The Boss, and assuming this ends 75-25, Tifa gets 42.26% on Samus. This is before Advent Children, Kingdom Hearts II, assuming Samus got absolutely no SFF against Ganondorf, and, again, assuming The Boss = Big Boss. Samus-Mario doesn't even enter the equation here, so no underrating there (unless you actually think Ganondorf rSFF'd Samus).* Trust me, Tifa will be breaking 40%. I'm pretty sure she'll be breaking 45%. *This result accounts for Tifa - The Boss SFF in a similar fashion as Auron did or didn't SFF Big Boss. If you would expect Tifa to SFF The Boss harder than you would Auron to SFF Big Boss, deduct some from Tifa's percentage and vice versa. Also, the stronger you think The Boss is compared to Big Boss, the more % Tifa gets on Samus. --- CB: 32/34. Today: Tifa vs. The Boss. Tomorrow: Jill vs. Peach. |

I would never expect Auron to have significantly SFFed Big Boss. FFX
and FFVII are just two different beasts when it comes to SFF. Note how
Rikku in all probability barely SFFed Kairi, if she did at all. Then
look at how Aeris absolutely demolished Sora. Now of course Rikku is no
Aeris, but Kairi is definitely no Sora. FFX/MGS SFF just ain't happening. --- *kills self* Commit it to memory. |

The real question here is how much Peach will put up on Tifa. Tifa
getting 45% on Samus is inevitable. Luigi put up pretty decent numbers
on Tifa so you wouldnt expect Peach to make the fourpack look to awful,
