Barret would do well. I mean, I thought he was just a guy that would be
well known, but no one really cares that much about him. Then again, I

It's a matter of hardly anyone actually liking him. He'd get a lot of
support sinc ehe is a FF7 character, but peope are still pretty much
apathetic towards him. Peopel just really don't care about him. Not
enough to like or hate him, and that puts him in a worse place than
Yuffie. --- If B8 were any more like the WWE I'd be getting paid for this message. If you mark someone for flaming/trolling, you probably deserved it. |

I guess you could put the entire FFVII cast in a contest and they'd all
be at least midcard but then I reserve the right to dust off "lol

30% isn't where I'd place her, but I don't believe it's all that crazy.
She has a great role in all 3 KH games and for all the haters she still
has more fans. Really, take into consideration which FF characters in KH/2/CoM are lower than 30%, which games they are from, and how abysmally small their roles are in the KH games as compared to Yuffie's role. --- If B8 were any more like the WWE I'd be getting paid for this message. If you mark someone for flaming/trolling, you probably deserved it. |

Yuffie's come a long way from being the annoying brat who stole all of
your materia and ****ed up your combinations upon returning it. I'd say
her role in Kingdom Hearts did just as much for her as it did for
Squall in proportion to how popular they were already. It's not like
Yuffie had a large role in FFVII. And her small role in the game did little to make a whole lot of people like her, although she does have fans from FFVII. BUT, since then she's had KH, KH:CoM, KH2, Advent Children, AND Dirge of Cerberus to build on her image and fanbase. KH gave her a much better role, and Advent Children gave her a much better character design. She had pretty cool parts in all of them (dunno about DoC though). I'd put her at 25% Base Link at least. She would rip Kefka a new one before SFF, and I don't see her struggling with 2k5 Tommy Vercetti either. That Chun-Li to Vivi range in the 2k5 stats would seem like a good place for her. ill agree with mnm Yuffie at 30% would disgust and confuse me. You also have to take into consideration that badasses tend to be popular. Squall, Auron, Vincent, all badasses. While their whiny/annoying/lame castmates such as Teedus, Yuffie or Zell would absolutely bomb (in relation to their game's popularity) TuRtLe ~~~ I used my brain and statistics to make my bracket. Now that I think about it, FF8, 9 and 10 all only had 1 good character.
Squall, Vivi and Auron. Ironically three respectably strong contest

Was "hey, there's gonna be a new Zelda game" shocking at all?
Really, at all? How could ANYONE be surprised that Nintendo would
continue to make games for their second most popular franchise? And,
really, even if it were a shock how is it even remotely close to being
more shocking than the idea of getting FF7 before the end of 2k7? Looking back at the statement again, I didn't realize that he said Final Fantasy VII remake coming out a month after the match. I thought he was talking about an announcement, which would have done practically nothing considering how everyone always expects it to be announced at some event. As for Twilight Princess being shocking, Nintendo went throughout the entire press conference in 2004 without making any real mention of it and blew everyone away at the very end. After The Wind Waker, there was no hint that there was going to be a new Zelda announcement during then, much less that it would be a "realistic" looking Zelda. Luigi did fantastic last year. The only problem is that most of us
didn't beleive it even after we saw it. All Luigi has done this year is

I'm feeling very confident in Luigi, mostly because Tidus, Kirby, Ryu,
and Bowser have all performed (significantly) under expectations so far. And this match is currently just above Luigi/Zero's pace, which, of course, finished tenth for votals. There's a pretty big gap between ninth and tenth, and a very small gap between tenth and twelfth, but Rikku/Kairi is going to be way up there regardless. That's poor reasoning. Kirby faced an unknown. Bowser faced a character that has recieved PS2 exposure since last year Ryu faced a character that has gained exposure in the last year Tidus has been on the decline for awhile now, and was in a SFF match. None of those matches are conclussive evidence about Luigi, at all. --- If B8 were any more like the WWE I'd be getting paid for this message. An unprovable trend, as there's little to no evidence that the
expectations were anything short of off-base. Yes, it's odd, but half
of those simply can't be counted on and the other half have significant
