nice gain for Sub Zero....... Master Chief is looking very bad..... Something to think about: If Ganon and Master Chief has switched bracket positions, how badly would Vincent have blown MC out, and how badly would Ganon be crushing S-0? |
BlAcK TuRtLe | Posted 10/12/2006 10:43:10 PM | message detail |
Gah, looked like MC was going for a stall there.
I'm out. Hopefully I wake up to an MC that's chipping at whatever lead
Subby builds up. TuRtLe ~~~ I used my brain and statistics to make my bracket. Karma Hunter used MGS fanboyism. KH won. Commit it to memory. |

I mean, I got Carmen in, despite her completely bombing =( No offense, but I give all credit to therealmnm for getting her in due to him making such a big deal about her being eligible this past off-season (in a good way!). Without that, nobody would have rallied for her. --- Z1mZum performed a hit and run on me in the Guru Contest. It still hurts to be rear-ended like that..... |

Actually I shouldn't say MC has magical jobber powers...more like
magical "People have been screwed over by Master Chief and every time
they say they won't pick him again, yet they still pick him because
he's facing someone whose strength they don't trust and he lets them
down again" powers. Halo is working on 1-4 in close matches, yo! And the win is by an even bigger choke artist than the Chief... Er, I guess I should count MC/Felix as close, so he's 2-4. Still, in each he's held a big seeding advantage and enjoyed huge bracket support and still managed to lose most of the time. --- Mustache...and green... http://www.rit.edu/~zmb0386/Top100.pdf |

As far as this contest goes, I believe that only two other matches
hit the 15k mark by 1:30 AM: Ganondorf/Vincent and Tifa/Ivy. This match
should land in the mid-to-high 120's, which is pretty solid. Oh, okay. I just had CV/Halo open for comparison purposes and noticed that the votals were pretty close. I probably should have checked up on it a bit more. --- Mustache...and green... http://www.rit.edu/~zmb0386/Top100.pdf |

MC just got a bigger weapon with that update. Heh, how awesome would it be to see MC chip away at Sub-Zero's lead all through-out the night and morning...then Subby blow him away with the after-school vote? Just a funny thought I had. --- Z1mZum performed a hit and run on me in the Guru Contest. It still hurts to be rear-ended like that..... |

If Sub-Zero pulls this off, this would make a pretty good Round 1
overall, and it would likely make it the 3rd most difficult to contest
to be perfect at Round 1's end. But, you know, now that it looks ever apparent that DK barely benefited from The Boost (lol me), I'm more worried about Princess Peach's chances next round, since I think DK is aways above Peach. Oh, if Kairi gets a surprise 45% on Rikku or something, I think Peach would -really- be in trouble. --- Sign the Petition for more stats in the GameFAQs Contests here: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=30693799 |

due to him making such a big deal about her being eligible this past

I can't beleive he's doing it. This is great. I have no love for MK
these days, but Subby is still way cooler than MC... and the fact that
he is proving he's WAY stronger than Scorpion could dream of being is
just icing. Really, I'll never understand why Ceej went with Scoprion

wildly. Why exactly is it that MC is being relatively constant whily

I always thought of Scorpion as bigger rep of the MK series, but that's
probably because I mostly only played the first MK (Sub-Zero wasn't in
that one, I don' think). Perhaps the fact that Scorp was in the first
MK was the reason CJayC placed him in the SC2K2 bracket, and it was a
similar reason for giving Kazuya a spot, but not Jin. --- Sign the Petition for more stats in the GameFAQs Contests here: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=7&topic=30693799 |

Because anti-votes aren't a reliable thing. Check the MC/DK updates and you'll see DK was pulling the same thing. That's a pretty good point.
