*comes back from rehearsal* ZOMG Sub-Zero is winning! What a surprise! I guess MC never gained from Halo 2, then? Or maybe it's just Sub-Zero's version of Mario vs. Cloud, with MK: Armeggedon out and being #1 on the FAQs. Regardless, I didn't give Sub-Zero enough credit. I'll be sad to lose a point (assuming Sub-Zero keeps going in this way), but I'd vote for almost anybody over MC...what a dull character. I like the Halo games, though. I still didn't like the Falcon nomination.. it was just yet another

As for the nominations argument, Phoenix got a 4 seed mainly because of
the Objection site. Remember that the most nominated characters
probably get less than 1000 noms and Board 8 can get whatever

I would like to see MC lose just so he can be low in the x-stats...then

Yeah, and in 2k3 Scorpion is expected to lose a close match to MC. So
Halo 2 didn't do much unless Subby is quite a ways ahead of Scorpion,

Something I haven't thought of: With halo lacking a recent title, and
still having yet to release a game on the 360 could possibly weaken MC.
He might be even weaker then the DK struggling one we saw last year. --- When D... I'd be able to finish this sig if Z1mZum didn't own me so hard in the guru contest. Congrats on your victory! |

Uhhh, Haste, Halo 2 has been out for almost 2 years now <_< Well, I'm just assuming MC 2K6 = MC 2K5, and that MC never boosted from Halo 2 before 2K5. Haha! No early result has put this large a smile on my face since CATS/Ansem! Now, we all know that MC made up a 2500 advantage against DK. Assuming that we won't get any funky over/underperforming from Subby

Remember that the most nominated characters probably get less than
1000 noms and Board 8 can get whatever characters they want in. This contest had 40,000 entries. Even if the nominations are nowhere near that, I can virtually guaran-damn-tee that Link alone had way more than 1,000 nominations - despite the fact that he wasn't supposed to be eligible :) I wonder what the limits to Master Chief's magical jobber powers are. This match is a bit behind CV/Halo in votals, which finished with 111k

| I'm not sure how much Armageddon is really
affecting this. When I first saw the bracket I had no idea about that
game, but my first instinct was to wonder if Sub-Zero might be the
favorite here. I ended up going with MC and agreeing with other posters
that Sub-Zero could win, and not giving the match much thought after
that. I don't think Sub-Zero would necessarily need Armageddon to help
him keep this match close, though it's really hard to say anything with

FAQ is a pretty good factor. Whether Master Chump would lose anyway,

With all the factors and junk people want to throw out I think the #1 FAQ is a pretty good factor. I didn't see that. Perhaps I'm underrating it's influence. Before this match, I was thinking that if Sub-Zero won/kept it close that people would credit Armageddon for it, and I thought this would be the wrong thing to do. I've been a part of the Sub-Zero>Scorpion group myself. I wasn't
overly certain of it, but it made the most sense. Sub-Zero was more
