Luigi boosting is the only logical explanation for him beating Zero
that easily. I'm not saying it was a massive boost, but enough that
Yoshi should be able to still beat Dante. The only problem is that Luigi boosting =/= Yoshi boosting And we've seen characters like Riku, Auron, Leon, and Kratos show noticeable improvement this year. Could it be because they've had games that have had excellent sales in the last year? Well, guess who ELSE has had some excellent sales numbers in the last year? I'd certainly agree that Luigi boosted at least a little, but nothing
can be said for sure about any other Nintendo characters. I would guess
that Luigi boost = Mario boost, but then I'd also guess that Mario
boost = Bowser boost, and Bowser's overperformance on Snake last year
would have to be HUGE for him to have boosted since 2k5. The rest of Nintendo, though? I don't think so. Peach has her own reasons to boost, but we won't be able to tell how much she boosted, for obvious reasons. As for Yoshi, Samus, and the Zelda crew, a boost's looking rather unlikely at this point. --- Pity for the guilty is treason to the innocent. |

So Samus and Zelda boosting is unlikely because their first round opponent was untested fodder? Samus's "boost" would be from being underrated in 2005 as opposed to any "new" increase. And Zelda certainly looked mighty impressive against Carmen -- highest blow and 100,000 individual votes -- but we'll get to check up on her in round 2, along with a number of other characters. Nah, the last few perfects should be Board 8 people, so I doubt we'll
lose them on a Master Chief match (unless it's Subby pulling the upset

We shouldn't assume anything from today's match...we don't know how
much of this was Auron's boosting, and we don't know what that means
for anyone related to KH2 for sure... It's hard to deny Auron benefited a nice amount, though...it makes me wonder more if Squall grew decently, though. well, we'll get a nice good read on Auron-Crono with Master Chief. if
he outperforms Crono then we can start going nuts. for now it doesn't

MC is never a good character to base things off of. His strength doesnt
just shift every contest like most characters, it shift practically
