Wow, the whining for this match is worse than Phoenix vs Gordon, and Ganondorf vs Vincent and is rivaling Kairi vs Claire. Also, these vote totals are amazing. I'm not talking about in other games. I'm talking about in NSMB. Is
Luigi any different from Mario at all in that game? Really? One is red
and one is green, and that's about all that is different between the
two. I'm pretty sure you're not getting it here. Luigi's role, while helpful thanks to being playable, is not necessarily the key here. That just reinforces that he should boost since he was in the game and playable. The major thing is that a big new Mario game came out that everyone loved. That is the key for Mario characters to increase. Calling Luigi close to Vincent is INCREDIBLY shocking to me, after seeing the past 4 or 5 contests. Luigi is nowhere near as strong as Ganondorf or Bowser, or Yoshi for that matter. Now, all of a sudden, he becomes stronger then Zero (who some believed could beat Ganondorf on a good day a few years ago), because of NSMB? Uh, did you miss last year? That was what really brought Luigi up to this level. He was projected to lose by about 49% in this match against Zero last year. This year you add in NSMB and a possible Zero decrease and everything should make plenty of sense to you. Why is it so hard to believe, really? I'm telling you, if you believe that Luigi boosted that much because of NSMB, then Bowser over Crono should be close to a lock, as everyone has fought Bowser at least twice in that game, while only a few people have played as Luigi. This match isn't over yet, which means we have no clue what the percentage is going to end up as. If this ends closer to around 52%, this match becomes much more reasonable without even having to drop Zero. No way Luigi has a shot in hell against Sonic, or even at
overperforming on him IMO. Shadow not only looked like Sonic, he's
designed to be "the cool Sonic" (who in turn was designed to be "the

Luigi's best time is morning/after-school, but there is no after-school
vote tomorrow. Either way, I don't see Luigi winning the day vote. Zero

Any reasoning behind that KP? Not to say that's what's happening here,
not at all...but Cloud didn't look like he SFF'd Vyse much at all yet
Tifa embarrassed him one year later. Do the same thing to
Mario/Zero/Luigi to a lesser extent and there you go. It's worth keeping in mind, that's all, though I don't necessarily buy it yet. --- Z1mZum performed a hit and run on me in the Guru Contest. It still hurts to be rear-ended like that..... |

Cloud didn't SSF Vyse as much simply because Vyse is already extremely
weak, and Cloud can't get much stronger anyway. Tifa had room to

It's worth keeping in mind, that's all, though I don't necessarily buy it yet. At the least, we'll be able to find the answer out to that question this contest. If it was just Luigi SFFing Zero, he wouldn't perform better on Sonic...or Kirby, I guess. Do you think Wario or Yoshi would boost because of NSMB? Wario? Hell no. Yoshi? Possibly. But his presence was so far away from that game that I'm not sure. It'd certainly be smaller than a Mario or Luigi increase. And if you doubt that so much, do you think Mario characters just will never increase again or something? Okay, here's another question I have: if this isn't Luigi increasing, why
would Zero be decreasing? His series, insofar as I can tell, is still
popular, the X series is still going strong, and if you take the route
that characters benefit even from games in their series that they're
not in, the ZX series just came out, after all. What reason is there
for Zero to fall? (Note that I'm not saying he hasn't or anything; this
match is just so damn delightfully confusing to me that I'm trying to

He was projected to lose by about 49% in this match against Zero last year. Zero's one bad match in his entire contest career. I wasn't too quick to believe it. Now, I realize it must have been completely right, and then some! The fact that your so against a new Mario game that Luigi is in helping him is mind boggling. I'm not against it.
