This is the type of performance I expected out of Vincent last
year. Seriously, when the bracket was released last year I took Vincent
to win the Devil Division and didn't think twice. With Cloud and
Sephiroth being #2 and #3 on this site, I figured Vincent had a great
chance to be a heavy hitter. Enough where I would have been wary about
him being able to beat Sonic were he in Tifa's spot. I expected Vincent to trounce Dante and easily beat Squall, so I was actually disappointed in Vincent's performance last year. --- Currently playing: Grand Theft Auto 3, Castlevania:Curse of Darkness, Mega Man ZX |

Extreme Scenarios: Kirby Vs. The Prince of Persia Scenario 1: Kirby with 56.93% Kirby had a spectacular run in the contest last year, and many people expect him to do it again. However, Kirby is behind a potentially overrated Bowser who faced Solid ****, plus many people suspected that he rSFF'd Bowser, due to their match being much close than people's expectations. Not only could Kirby be a lot lower than people think, but The Prince has the potential to be a solid midcarder. The Prince has had games on almost every single console, and just starred in a very popular trilogy of multiplatform games. Combine this with a casual-friendly pic and The Prince might just be able to break 40%. Scenario 2: Kirby with 78.51% While his performance on Bowser seems to imply and overrated Kirby, he did still manage to blowout Tidus Ulti-style. If Kirby is able to maintain this supposed strength, then he could return to the contest again as a powerhouse. On the other hand, the Prince might be total fodder. He might have appeared on a lot of consoles, but with the exception of his last three games, they were ages ago. Even the recent trilogy wasn't that well received by the GameFAQS populace; it has it's fans, but it doesn't compare to the big hits on here. Also, Prince getting his Warrior Within artwork might hurt, if only because it's his least recognizable outfit. I expected Vincent to trounce Dante You and 99% of the stats topic after that match with Kerrigan. and easily beat Squall Meh, Squall doesn't get enough credit around here. I bet Ganondorf would have been an overwhelming favorite if he were here instead of Vincent. Some people can't get over the idea that he has strength, even now. Moltar’s Bracket Says: Kirby will win. Moltar’s Prediction is: Kirby: 68% - The Prince: 32% Ulti’s Analysis I think it's safe to just hand Prince the 2005 Kratos value and be done with it. It's not like this match is in question, though it'll shed light on whether or not Kirby was overrated last year. Prediction: Kirby with 70.05% HM’s Analysis The match picture for this match-up is absolutely hilarious – extremely cute v. extremely dark! As it turns out, the extremely cute one is looking to win with ease! Kirby comes into this contest looking to solidify his amazing near-elite strength the showed off last year while The Prince is looking to just show he’s made of something other than fodder. I’m expecting Kirby to come into this match and show that his strength last year was any type of fluke; he’ll be dominating this match from beginning to end. There is some question about the Dream Division being overrated or Kirby getting rSFF on Bowser, but hopefully with a nice sized blowout, all of that can be put to rest. Aitch Emm’s Bracket: Kirby Aitch Emm’s Prediction: Kirby – 72% ; Prince of Persia – 28% Aitch Emm’s Vote: Kirby Yoblazer’s Analysis Even though most of them are being thrown to the wolves, I'm glad Leonhart's rally tournament got quite a few new faces into the contest. My favorite of these first-timers is undoubtedly The Prince of Persia, and it's just faaabulous to see him here. Unfortunately, he's up against a fluffy, puffy, chewy, gooey force that's just far too strong in Kirby. I'll be happy if The Prince can break 30%, but I doubt he'll be able to do much better. |

My prediction: Kirby def. The Prince of Persia (69-31) Lopen’s Analysis This going to be brief... I kinda forgot about it. Anyway, for this match, Kirby's gotta get more on the Prince of Persia than Zero got on Lloyd Irving, or I'm not feeling the Kirby > Zero pick I made. Well, I guess it's possible Prince of Persia > Lloyd, but somehow I don't think so! ToS did well on the GotY polls… and Prince of Persia games didn't. I know the GotY polls are unreliable… but PoP did so bad in em that I can't take the Prince seriously. Well, maybe they didn't do quite as bad as I remember. I'm going to be honest here, I don't care enough to check. But, I'm giving this match the dignity of a response, like it deserves! Sorry, EC, I know I just dissed your man by saying Lloyd > him. But it's not like you read these anyway! (You should, though!) Lopen's prediction: Kirby with 74.07% KH’s Analysis lol x-stats history KIRBY "Haiii!" Speaking of Kirby, that's another candidate for Board 8's favorite character, although that's really a byproduct of ol' ertyu than anything else. The dum pink ball had a great run through last year's bracket, stunning Tidus (and the board) before getting dangerously close to a Bowser that ended up equaling Snake in the stats. Kirby has gone from perennial midcarder to near-elite...perhaps. This year is his chance to prove it, and it starts with this match. N/A If ever there were a newcomer that deserved to kick ass in this bracket, the Prince of Persia would be it. Witty, charming, badass, with incredibly awesome swordplay and acrobatics along with the power to control time, the Prince of Persia has it all. Sadly, he's just going to be trying to not embarrass himself in this match -- and with the blowouts we've seen happening routinely in this contest, I'm very scared for him. WOO THE PRINCE OF PERSIA Notable Releases Since Last Appearance Kirby: Super Smash Brothers Brawl Trailer (Internet) Prince of Persia: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones Upcoming Releases Kirby: Super Smash Brothers Brawl (WII) Prince of Persia: N/A Ugh. This one is going to be ugly, I can just feel it. Man, I would give ANYTHING for the Prince to win here. All my upsets could go up in smoke, Smurf could win the contest, even Snake could lose to Squall (pfft he'll be back better than ever after MGS4 and SSBB). But sadly, PoP has no chance here. Even if Kirby is vastly overrated (a possibility), I wouldn't take the puffball to lose to, say, Ryu -- and if he did it would be by very little. Ryu beat the hell out of Kratos even with the God of War doing better than expected, and Kratos is just about PoP's ceiling. Karma Hunter's Vote: The Prince of Persia. And I'd do it again if I got the chance !! Karma Hunter's Krazy Prediction: Kirby with 65.8%. I fully expect to lose this point handily. I'll be dumbfounded if I'm not the low pick. Guest’s Analysis - Explicit Content At first glance this match may appear to be more obvious than that 3 year old cold sore on KH's lip, roughly the size of thejp, but oh sir, you would undoubtedly be wrong about that one. When you're such a badass you don't even need a name, you know you're going to kick some serious ass, take a name or two even. Did you know according to the 2000 census, Persian men have the second biggest wang size out of all races? Yeah, I bet you didn't, you ignorant buffoon. The men want him, and the women want to be him, and when you're on a site that has the sausage fest we do, the former is the Prince's key to victory. Who doesn't go to bed at night dreaming of the Prince's silky, flowing hair? His rippled chest? His, well you get the idea, the man is sexy. I know what you're thinking to yourself right now "Could this be the first 100% victory we've ever seen in these contests?!" unfortunately not, you see, the only person who would dare vote against the Prince is those dirty commie bastards. | well, i must say that i am not overjoyed at
Vincent's performance, but i'm not completely counting him out against
Sonic. it doesn't look good for Vincent, but he will definitely keep
the match with Sonic very close and may pull out a very narrow victory.
as for tomorrow, i really think Kirby was a bit overrated last year. call it a hunch or call it because of Tidus's awful performance (i know he got SFF'd, but he barely did better than Geno. GENO!!), but i don't think he will live up to last year's strength. the Prince also seems like he could be a casual favorite along the lines of Kratos or Vercetti - maybe a little weaker than those two. therefore, i think Kirby will have trouble maintaining the doubling tomorrow. i think the Prince will keep him down to 64-65%. and Vincent with 39.47% of the brackets!! --- i have officially been Z1mZum'D in the guru contest.
