Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:

Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

Fun-fact: XIII and TuRtLe have recently gone well out of their way to make CS&D topics despite not being around the topics for too long...

...meanwhile, this topic "celebrates" 100 topics passing since the last time I made one, and I've been a regular in these topics since Spring 2k4.

I feel like it had to be said since BT said "I've been trying to make one since 360, but was beaten every time" last topic when he made it so early. Not to say you are the only one, not by any chance, but I'll single you out here because people seriously need to chill the **** out about it and you're the most recent. Then again, it was probably going to be a dead issue until this post, too, heh.....

I still don't get why you would watch the post count to make a stats topic. people claim they don't care about their internet status and then they do things like that. I only make a stats topic when it's +400 and I go to look for the next one and it's not there. (well except for last week, just to update the first post)

anyway, Kratos got me all excited for nothing when he had those two 58% updates to start. I hate false alarms like that, now we're doomed to watch another predictable match. I still think Kratos gets under 60%, but not a lot under. DAMN YOU ROUND 1

You call Claire/Kairi predictable? Hell, even Phoenix/Gordon being debatable wasn't THAT far-fetched. The rest of the bracket your pretty much right on though. All I really care about is Zero winning his fourpack and, if were really lucky, his division. That would pretty much make the contest for me!

Huh, Ryu's doing a bit better then I expected, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see kratos safely finish with over 40%... in fact it looks very likely that he will right now. By the looks of things he's been increasing a lot in recent updates.

Maybe this is a sign that the after school vote will massively favour him? And no I don't mean he'll take it or anything, just that he'll increase a good deal in percentage.
---
When D... I'd be able to finish this sig if Z1mZum didn't own me so hard in the guru contest. Congrats on your victory!

Hell, even Phoenix/Gordon being debatable wasn't THAT far-fetched.

Eh... you would have to completely ignore Gordon's HL-2 boost, I don't see how often we completely ignore other characters boosts like they never happened, it was special in Gordon's case, for PW supporters to believe.

Kratos really shouldn't be sacrificed as "tests of strength" for big time midcarders like Alucard and Ryu as soon as he enters the contest. Man needs to work his way up if he wants success. Hes obviously stronger than other mainstream people like Fisher, Payne, Vercetti, and the like. I say you pit him up against say Riku, Master Chief, Tails, Jill, Hayabusa, people of that respect, and he'd win a couple matches. Heres to Kratos getting a good fourpack next year!

The boost is rather odd to explain for Freeman though, due to Leon/Freeman. Think about it, his voting trends and patterns continued as they always do in that match up. But during PW/Freeman he brought in what....60-70k votes?! So it took a year for a boost to be fully experianced? Hmmm...

Well yeah and by the time of the God of War 2 increase he could probably beat him. All I'm sayin is, give em some opponents closer or right below his strength, just to give him some time to tear up the field a bit and get his hands dirty, you know?

What? If anything GF is going to end up lower in the stats this year than last. Just because he got that many votes this year as opposed to last year, doesn't mean he only felt the boost now. That's just ridiculous. He faced a much weaker opponent, who recieved tons of rallying, and probable vote stuffing (can't say for sure, but looking at the updater some stuff seems way off, and maybe Ceej just didn't bother to check in a blowout).

The vote totals are a lot higher than last year, of course. And Phoenix Wright <<<<<<< Leon Kennedy. You couldn't have possibly expected Freeman to be this lineair. In fact, do you expect him to break 40% on Sora? I certainly don't.

Due to Phoenix' obscene obscurity, a lot of people were voting for Freeman for a variety of reasons. I'll give the lower seed a chance, I hate anime, Gordon looks cooler, whatever.

Bwahaha, people were expecting Kratos to push for 45% against Ryu's night vote? Unlikely! Ryu has the distinction of being the only non-Noble Nine character to hold a lead over one for a prolonged period of time due to that night vote!

Either way, it doesn't really matter what you make of Kratos's strength, Ryu has always been a step above Alucard, so to expect him to finish at the same percentage was asking for a bit too much, in my opinion. At the rate things are going, 42% seems to be the most he can hope for, and even then, Ryu's morning vote isn't looking completely horrible.

Ryu will keep up his tradition of losing with 40%+ against Mega Man next round! Bank on it! 2005 was a fluke!

If the after school vote is anything like what happened around the time people would be going to work/school, I really don't see ryu hanging onto 60% personally. Kratos won't get 45% or anything nearly so ridiculous, but I don't see him finishing under 40%, even with the way he's been going in more recent updates.

Question for everyone - I keep seeing people attribute prediction percentages to the seeding, but I don't remember the seeding actually being visible anywhere when I filled out the bracket. Was it?

For the first round, the seeds were directly next to the characters names, after that they disappeared. Oh and I'm sure some punks would have gone for Dante/Ryu saying Dante was overrated/Ryu was underrated, and been horribly wrong, as well as people saying Zero got SFFed! Ryu > Kratos. Not that you really needed Ryu underrated to beat out Kratos, that would have got a lot of debate, I wonder if Kratos could have been the favorite. This isn't to say Zero wasn't SFFed either, but I don't personally buy it. It shall wait to be seen.

Seeing Ryu's streak of winning at least one match every contest ending would not have been my idea of a good match. He and Dante are about the only non-Noble Niners left with that to their name, now that Knuckles got snubbed.
