I find it odd that he can barely win an update, then win a huge update.

Will there be a vote stuffer by the end of this? >_>

My bracket is so screwed.
Draco1214 | Posted 10/2/2006 10:39:11 PM | message detail
At this point, Phoenix Wright vs. Gordon Freeman has 14417 votes. To compare with other matches at this time:

Sora/Tingle - 15025
Dante/Hayabusa - 14557
Phoenix/Gordon - 14417
Snake/Soma - 13344

Healthy votals. Maybe Phoenix does have some strength around here <_<

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's match. we get to test out Kratos and see how the Dream Division holds up as well.

if Kratos gets, say, 40%+, would that make people feel better about Zero > Kirby?
---
xyzzy
Heroic Mario | Posted 10/2/2006 11:16:03 PM | message detail
Eh, I wouldn't think so, no. It's completely plausible for Kratos to get 40%+ and Ryu still remain at the percentage he was given last year. Between Kratos being underrated last year thanks to Snake/Sora along with his game selling an additional 600,000 copies in America since the last contest should boost him enough to get well past 40%.

Freeman is absolutely steamrolling now. If he gets the day vote we very well could see 60%+ after all.

Remember that at this point in the last surprising fad match this Contest saw, Ansem was only ahead of CATS at

2005-05-16 02:40:01 2757 2750 50.06% 49.94% 5507 7

Then the Night push finally trickled out and he ended up winning with 54%. Now, not to say that HL's Day Vote is equal to that of KH, but I'm still expecting things to once again get mighty ugly for our fad favorite once the sun rises in the East.

Holy crap, Gordon is absolutely murdering phoenix right now.

Unless phoenix can take the day vote he might have trouble keeping above 40%... or maybe he'll even get doubled!!!!!!!!!!!! </half-life fanboy>

transience | Posted 10/3/2006 12:11:47 AM | message detail
I don't think Gordon's going to steamroll him like that. I mean, Gordon doesn't exactly have a great day vote. 57% seems to be a good estimate. he isn't getting 60% updates very often now and this is historically his best time. it depends on Phoenix.

Definitely depends on Phoenix, but there is a possibility that he'll completely fold in the daytime. He may call a Nintendo system his home, but he's cult and driven by an Internet fad. Those aren't two traits you'd want to have if you wanna take the day vote.

Oh how I wish that Phoenix could actually do that. It would save my bracket and the universe.

However, I'm actually happy that Gordon is finally able to redeem himself. I felt sorry for the guy.

Too bad it's Phoenix that has to get trampled. If only it was Tingle...

Oh well, there's always Sora vs Gordon. If we make Gordon look really good and Sora look really bad, that would make Phoenix look better in the X-Stats and make Tingle worse!

Vote Gordon Freeman! Smite Tingle and save Phoenix!

If Gordon keeps this up, super-ouch for PW considering how strong his board/night-vote was. GF is gonna win though, certainly, but it would also say something if PW was steamrolled in the day-vote by him too.
