I just want it to be over. I hate that this match exsists.... even tho I've wanted Gordon to actually win a match. --- It's a sad fact that you had to derail this topic because you are afraid of the power of the PS3 -- cade |

It's hilarious, but there will be more whining/gloating tomorrow than any of the Mario/Crono matches or contest finals. Yeah, pretty much. I think it's pretty neat though - almost like a college rivalry type thing, where the people care more about the big rivalry game than winning the championship. It shows these matches can get people's emotions riled up without necessarily having two top-tier guys, and that's a good thing. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

A few days ago the board seemed full of PW support to the point where they almost seemed like a majority sometimes. If PW somehow wins tomorrow, I won't have control over my sig until
2007, and I'll have to play through superman 64, and write a game log
about my progress in it. If phoenix wright wins, tomorrows board
reaction will be the least of my worries. Good thing he stands no chance... at all. I'll be impressed if he avoids a doubling. >_> --- When D... I'd be able to finish this sig if Z1mZum didn't own me so hard in the guru contest. Congrats on your victory! |

Match XXII: (4) Phoenix Wright vs. (5) Gordon Freeman Contest History Phoenix Wright No Previous Contest Matches Gordon Freeman Summer 2002 Lost to Tina Armstrong, 40.03% - 59.97% Ranked: 53rd Summer 2003 Lost to Max Payne, 46.01 - 53.99% Ranked: 53rd Summer 2004 Lost to Sam Fisher, 44.57% - 55.43% Ranked: 51st Summer 2005 Lost to Leon S. Kennedy, 41.43% - 58.57% Ranked: 37th Analysis: Phoenix Wright is from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, but is really known for the objection fad. Thanks to Board 8 and many other places they were able to bring Phoenix into the contest and with a high seed. Gordon Freeman is from Half-Life 1 and 2. By looking at his past records it looks like Freeman is weak, but with the release of Half-Life 2 he has gotten stronger and is in a very winnable match. Despite all of the talk this match is getting I don’t think Freeman will be in any danger of losing. What made this match debatable was the fad GFNW, well as CATS showed us during the villains contest anybody can win given the right opponent plus Freeman looked very strong last year with Half-Life 2 coming out a few months before the contest. Not only is Freeman stronger than his earlier contest showings, but Phoenix Wright isn’t really expected to do that well. Characters people are comparing to be King of All Cosmos, the board 8 fan favorite of last year and CATS because of the objection site. Freeman performed better than both of those characters last year. Some people are expecting that rallying from the objection site will pull Phoenix to victory, but that site isn’t very huge and most of its members already go to GameFAQs so only really expect a couple hundred votes at most from that site. GFNW will end tomorrow, but if Freeman some how messes this up and loses I will never pick him to win a match ever again, even if it’s against Tanner. If people still want to keep GFNW alive they can always change it to HLNW because Alyx was in the contest and lost badly in her match against Lara Croft. charmander6000’s Bracket: Gordon Freeman over Phoenix Wright charmander6000’s Prediction: Gordon Freeman wins, 61.65% - 38.35% --- "I was trying to escape. Obviously, it didn't work." - President Bush |
