This really doesn't prove anything about kirby... it's pretty obvious
sff. Unless you actually think Tidus is nearly as weak as Geno of all

I'm still catching up, but I'm surprised the Analysis Crew didn't take
Squall to be beating Tidus by more. I saw a lot of 60-40s and such.
Seeing how Kirby beat Tidus down, and this being a SFF match against
two FF leads, I would have taken Squall to get at least
65% on Tidus. He's exceeding even that. I mean, Squall/Cloud shows that
SFF goes down between FF leads. I know Tidus has the PS2 fanbase, but

To think that Squall could potentially be overrated due to Vincent, and

I thought about comparing Tidus/Squall to Cloud/Squall, but I figured
Squall and Tidus were relatively in the same league, but...well, so

Squall may not have been the most likable character in FFVIII, but KH

Still catching up, but the only significance this match had for me was
to see if Tidus actually stood up to Squall, which would have raised
flags for me on Squall's strength. Tidus isn't getting any more
popular, and I definitely don't see him able to get ANY SFF against
other Square leads (not even Sora). Squall's doing as expected for me

There's definitely SFF involved, but Square SFF has never been this severe. Square sff has proven itself to be very severe before, and even if you assume tidus is overrated, the sff is still ridiculous. I'd say it's better to wait for a match that actually gives us a better idea of if kirby, and maybe bowser were overrated in 2k5 instead of trying to make sense of an sff-fest. There's simply no way of knowing if any of this is tidus being overrated. --- When D... I'd be able to finish this sig if Z1mZum didn't own me so hard in the guru contest. Congrats on your victory! |

heh, before 2k5 that was all the talk - Tidus or Auron? now it's more like Tidus or Rikku? Tidus just strikes me as the kind of guy who sucks when you put him up against a good opponent. Mega Man pretty much proved this in my mind. I *never* would have taken Tidus to beat Auron. Auron's whole purpose
in FFX was to look superior to Tidus. It's even worse than the Zero
> X stigma of the MMX series. Auron establishes himself over Tidus

down like Geno did. guess I underestimated Squall yet again. Meh, I think you're just underestimating SFF. Kirby beat Tidus 58-42. You'd expect Squall to at least get 60% on Tidus based on that. Then you throw in SFF between two FF leads, and add that Squall has all of the intangibles among the FF fanbase. I never would think that Tidus fans are that loyal to him. Hrm...Squall is doing almost as well on Tidus as he did on Geno...but,
Sora did almost as well against Marle as he did Sora, and Sora's
clearly out of Marle's league, and Riku almost beat Frog. I guess those

I'm trying to think of some reasons why the SFF in this match seems to
be so severe. At this point, either the SFF is more than anyone was
anticipating, or Squall has taken an enormous boost. Even when
considering the possibility of Tidus being overrated last year, it's
still nowhere near enough for Squall to amass this type of percentage
