I think Ness vs. Chun Li would be the better match. I couldn't see Chun-Li only getting 55% against CJ and Jak... Ness would beat Lara Croft, but it wouldn't be by that much... Well, on my perspective, Ness got 35% on Auron, which isn't too far off
from Chun Li's 34% on Bowser. Bowser'd probably beat Auron with, oh,
56%, so Chun Li would already have a 55/45 match with Ness right there.

Vercetti fell between 2K3 and 2K5...what if Vercetti had his 2K5
strength in 2K4? The reason I'm questioning this is that Vercetti
underperformed against Max Payne. Of course, that would also mean rSFF
against Mega Man, and the right amount of it to make Zero's and
Vercetti's x-stat about the same as the previous year, which seems like
too much of a coincidence, so whatever. Here's the thing: everyone expected Vercetti to stay pretty much the same between 2k3 and 2k4 (just look at VC, not to mention GTADP), and everyone expected him to drop after San Andreas. Though, I do think Vincent will boost no matter how you look at it. I mean, Yuna boosted from FFX-2 pretty good and Dante boosted from DMC2 as well. Both of those games sold far better and were far more well-liked than DoC. There's just no comparison. The movie? Gimme a break. If anything, the cause of her being overrated would be Zelda because she faced Mega Man. Tomb Raider the movie was actually a massive success at the box office. 2k3: 19 Zelda 30.29% 2k5: 14 Zelda 30.89% compare that to what's happened to every other Nintendo character and it's not much of a boost. if 2k3 is rSFF, then Zelda wasn't actually all that strong and her boost was bigger than expected. --- xyzzy |

Zelda boosts a whopping 3% in 2 years, when it took the Mario

that Zelda characters did not benefit from the boost as much as Mario
characters did. Considering that the Nintendo Boost of 2K5 is one of the most overhyped things ever (Hey there KHF!), 3% is a nice solid boost. Every other extreme boost can be explained for and reasoned that they aren't quite as deserving of the magnitude of the boost we've given them. Ganondorf/Vincent is standard...just their basic character art. The Prince looks badass, but that's not the picture that he needed there to win his fans over -- though I had a feeling Ceej would use it, it's the most common character art he's got. that Zelda characters did not benefit from the boost as much as Mario
characters did. There are some things that need to be taken into consideration with this boost. While it is true that it a widescale Nintendo Boost, Mario characters had more of a reason to benefit from this boost than any others -- they had an actual game release. Super Mario 64 DS, combined with the DS itself, likely propelled Mario characters to be the bigger gains from that boost than other characters. It makes some sense to me, at least, because SM64DS was the first million seller on the DS, the biggest DS game at the time, and featured nearly all of those who got a boost -- including a playable Luigi and Yoshi in Super Mario 64. Zelda likely benefited more from the showing of Twilight Princess at E3 2004. That was one of the biggest moments in gaming with one of the most surprising and awesome trailers ever. Link, Ganon, and Zelda all probably boosted more from that than in 2005, though they certainly got something of a boost then, no doubt. 3% over the course of two years seems appropriate for Zelda. The whole idea of her rSFFing Mega Man is just silly to me. Upon further inspection, Ganon/Vincent isn't that
great, it's just that, that Ganon is so perfect and amazing looking
it's not even funny. Probably my favorite character design ever, and
I'm not a fan of Ganon. He usually gets that pic with a close-up, but
it's nice to see it with a full body shot. <3 <3 <3 that

After seeing this new CATS pic, the Eggplant CATS pic finally makes sense! CATS might lose a little recognition, though. Great pictures for...The Prince and Hayabusa, especially. Bad picture for Riku. Snake/Soma: Nice to see the male side of the bracket! Good Snake pic too. Nice way to start off this side of the bracket. Squall/Tidus: Bland. He could have at least picked a better picture than Standard Squall. Some KH/KH2 would have been nice. Riku/Yoshi: KH1 Riku, although since KH2 Riku has such little screentime, the KH1 picture might actually be the better pic for him as far as maxing out his strength. People not TOTALLY familiar with KH2 might not recognized Riku with a KH2 pic. Dante/Ryu: Ownage. Any pic with Ninja Ryu owns though. Sora/Tingle: ... Phoenix Wright/Gordon Freeman: Why does Gordon Freeman always look like he wants to lose. All this pic needs is a pointing Phoenix Wright mocking him. Petition! Kratos/Ryu: Ryu looks like he is about to own Kratos in the back with a SHIN-SHORYUKEN, or something of the sort. Good pic though. Mega Man/Axel: Standard fare. What I expected. Plus Mega Man isn't pointing his blaster, so Axel might stand up to him! <_<; Sonic/CATS: ??????? Royal CATS? Where the hell did that picture come from? It looks awesome! And I care nothing for CATS. It's his best picture yet though. Ganon/Vincent: Standard. Bleh. Kirby/PoP: Talk about totally opposites. Probably one of the most contrasting pictures we've seen! Zero/Luigi: Meh, a good pic but I don't like that particular Zero pic personally. I want some Z-saber action. Luigi gets his nose picker. No advantage for either side. Crono/Falcon: Good pic for Falcon. Crono is Crono. Bowser/Leon: Meh, I don't like SMRPG Bowser. Not that it matters against Leon, who is standard RE4. Hopefully Bowser gets an awesome pic against Crono. Auron/Alucard: Standard fare, but good pic. MC/Sub-Zero: Subby's pic looks stretched.
