I agree... which is kinda why I said I'd smack myself in the balls with a hammer if Rinoa didn't make the female side, right after KH got done eating MGS. Thank god for that mans weak appetite. Nobody likes Rinoa though. And the only people who would've nominated her (see: Square fanboys) already used their 7 spots on Tifa, Aeris, Kairi, Celes, Terra and Carmen Sandiego TuRtLe ~~~ I used my brain and statistics to make my bracket. I think Peach would win vs. Rinoa pretty handily, but I suppose it's

I'd take Chun-Li over Yuffie. Yuffie would be little more than a
midcarder at best. Nobody likes the annoying "ninja" chick that

Squall got nearly doubled by his second round opponent in 2002. he's
gotten stronger since, but given what happened to Sora, I'm not

as for Rinoa, she seems pretty similar to Rikku. I don't really care if
you personally don't like her, that won't be the case for everyone.

I just don't see Squall as that strong of a character. Put him against
some character from a non-SE game and yeah, he does good. Against
another SE game, especially considering FF8 isn't the most accepted of

Snake is probably one of his better options, actually. well, the thing with Snake is twofold: 1 - they've had a match before; 2 - Snake beat the living hell out of him and beat the hell out of Sora. as KH and others have mentioned before, it's possible that Something Weird happened in Snake/Squall. Squall in 2003 was completely different than in 2002 and while Kingdom Hearts is credited as the reason, it's fully possible that Squall was just underrated. look how much he boosted up - that's pretty huge. plus, MGS has shown itself to bomb horribly when going up against FF7 - twice, I think. if something similar happens with MGS and FF8 (and/or KH), the match is kinda pointless. --- iddqd "MY SLEEPING PATTERNS ARE SHOT THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR FANFICTION" -windmage |

So, a question here...if Squall does end up performing signficantly
worse than expected on Snake this time around, how would you expect a
MGS/FF8 match to go? FFT didn't seem to have much of a problem going up
against it, and FFT > FF8 is dangerous territory... --- Commit it to memory. |
