Contest Stats and Discussion - Part 366

Hmmm, so barring an amazing turn around for Kerrigan (like SC...), I'll just go ahead and ask how much Terra is exepected on Zelda. If she gets a sprite pic, will it help her not look like a complete loser?

That, and which would people recognize more, the esper sprite or regular sprite?

I'll just go ahead and ask how much Terra is exepected on Zelda.

Around 74% based on the Extrapolated Standings, but keep in mind the Devil devision may be a bit overrated and Zelda has probably gained over the last year.

If she gets a sprite pic, will it help her not look like a complete loser?

It will help, but not much.

That, and which would people recognize more, the esper sprite or regular sprite?

Probably regular.

If Zelda stayed constant, we could see where Dante's real value is depending on how much Terra gets on Zelda.

This contest is so boring...ugh. Just get to Ganondorf/Vincent already!

Zelda's supposed to get about 72.34% against Terra.

If Zelda stayed constant, we could see where Dante's real value is depending on how much Terra gets on Zelda.

You'd have to assume Dante stayed constant too if you mean Dante for this year...but DMC3:SE has been released since the last contest and DMC2 has become a Greatest Hit, so it shouldn't be AS accurate as we hope this year...and, as you said, that also relies on a constant Zelda. The discovery of his real value'll be tough with just that.

If you mean Dante last year though...yeah, probably right. =P

Same as Boss/Celes, where MGS characters and FF6 characters bomb with it.

I'll make a bold statement that either Terra gets it a little bit, or the match stays even the whole day.

Also, lol @ Amy > KOS-MOS.

I wouldn't take Tails over KOS-MOS, so why would anybody take Amy?

And Cortana's picture is horrendous. Kasumi looks pretty sub-par too. I like Marle's pic though...she might be able to avoid a tripling.

Why is it that we don't really care about Terra in this topic? Final Fantasy VI is a damn good game, and she's a pretty good character in it, too. Is it because we've already seen her fail once and don't need to see her do it again?

I like Terra as a character, but this match just didn't need to happen, not when characters like Donkey Kong and Knuckles get left by the wayside. The fact that she drew a character even more pathetic just so she could finally a FF6 character not named Kefka can finally win a match is not something to rejoice over.

You want me to get excited over FF6? Let's have a ****ing Games Contest. This doesn't do it for me.

what EC said. I rather like FF6 (though Terra's kinda stupid to me, but whatever), but characters that are weak and follow expectations are the most boring kind. this is the first match we've really seen this year that follows x-stats down to the percent. throw in that they'd both get tripled by Zelda and you've got a bad match.

Sine told me on skype the other day that he'd been told he couldn't pull 5% against Tanner. I think, as the site's most popular mod, he could probably pull 30% or so off of Tanner... and maybe 35% off of Jay Solano(although that match would probably be determined just by pictures)

Sticking Yuffie as the 8 seed in Yuna's division could have torn brackets to pieces. Real, serious brackets could have been completely taken out of the running based on that one match.

Or perhaps Rinoa as the 7 seed against Peach? Bah. Wasted potential!
