WTF at Strago being last. Well, he shouldn't exactly be a favorite of anybody... But I still like him! Blue Magic (Lores) FTW! It at least separated him from being Ultima slinger #13. Plus I actually enjoyed going out and trying to learn the lores... Even though it was damn annoying to get hit by a spell and not learn it. I remember there was an enemy in Kefka's Tower called Dark Force (looked like Wrexsoul) who used nearly every single lore. Match VI: (4) The Boss vs. (5) Celes Chere Contest History The Boss No Previous Contest Matches Celes Chere No Previous Contest Matches Analysis: Another new character vs new character match. The Boss is from Metal Gear Solid 3 and plays a huge role in that game and is one of the favorites of MGS fans. Celes is from Final Fantasy VI and even though she starts off as a side character the story shifts towards her during the second half of the game. To some people she is considered to be the main character. For a match that looks to be close there isn’t a whole lot of discussion going around. The closest characters of the two are Big Boss and Terra and even then both of them are expected to have a close match. It is also expected that both characters are weaker than Big Boss and Terra. Why you ask, well Big Boss is from a more popular MGS game and he was even in 3 though his name doesn’t get mentioned until the end of the game and even though Celes takes the spotlight during the second half of the game Terra is still remembered by most people as being the lead role in FFVI. This is going to be a match between two new weak characters in which any of them could take it. The track records between the characters that have appeared from the same game/series (with the exception of Solid Snake) also haven’t been that great. And I still say that a good deal of Big Boss's votes were from
knowledgable MGS3 fans. The Boss would definitely be stronger than Big
Boss sans MGS3... But with the way Auron beat down Big Boss even WITH
some MGS3 support, I just don't see The Boss being too much stronger,
if she's even stronger at all. Celes is pretty much going to be high fodder. Pathetic in a normal contest, but seeing how weak the women's side is, she actually can look to be pretty decent. I'm wondering how popular FFVI is on this site now as compared to 2k4 or earlier. So it looks like through the adjusted 2k5 stats, Ivy's going to finish
right inbetween King of All Cosmos & Wesker. She'll no doubt be a

Win-Meh here. Have Boss in my bracket, won't really care about either of these characters. Although actually, The Boss doing poorly might imply that Big Boss didn't need to be adjusted much, if at all (though I still think he could be stronger). And Celes doing well would imply that the Devil Division perhaps doesn't need to be adjusted downward. If that happens, Vincent's looking much better for his match against Ganondorf! These are both one-point matches, though. I wonder why I care more about the other -- OH YEAH I FORGOT THE OTHER ONE ISN'T FODDER DAMN FEMALE BRACKET. --- Commit it to memory. |
