But they're on the level of Kefka, except for probably Ken. SFII is
more expansive than FFVI anyway. You'll only find maybe two MK
characters that could beat Kefka, and probably no others from any other

By the way, my money is on Sabin and/or Edgar being the most popular
character in FF6. Why? One reason: They're the best characters to use
in battle. Tools and Blitz are superior to most other characters

And even with games like Mortal Kombat, Scorpion and likely a few more characters are easily stronger than Kefka...heck, taking a potential KH2 boost into account Ivy may be too close to Terra for comfort. Ivy! --- Commit it to memory. |

Fire Dance owns everything, man. You gotta get to the level 2 magics before any other character can even think of matching that damage output. And even then I think they're outclassed. Actually... Terra/Celes with double earrings might be able to do it with level 2s (maybe level 1s). I'm not sure. But that's totally too much thinking for the one time player. They want their ribbons and running shoes and stuff. Um.. the point is, Fire Dance rules. Never leave home without it. Celes, and most of the characters in FFVI, are very well developed
characters. Also, I don't agree that the Boss will necessarily be
fodder. Celes is sort of limited by Terra and Kefka, but the distance,
even in game difference, in terms of importance, between The Boss and
Big Boss is larger than the gap between Celes and anyone else in her
game. Also, why was there no ...damn, what's her name, Tatyana rally? The other chick from MGS:3; she's pretty damn cool, too. --- Revenge is a dish best served by Z1mZum in the 2k6 Series Guru Contest. |

Wait, won't MGS4 be out after SC2k7 starts, though? In a way, that disappoints me, though. I wanted to see Raiden before MGS4. Because now, if he manages to do well, everybody will be shouting "MGS4 BOOST!". Whereas I thought he'd do pretty respectably without it. But... he would boost, no doubt about it. I'd rather not see Barret at this point. Too much FFVII already, and
I'd rather not contemplate the implications if he were to actually
bomb...well, insofar as much as an FFVII character can actually bomb in

I haven't heard ANYTHING about Jill/Sheena. I know the winner isn't in
doubt, but what's the consensus for Sheena's percentage? I saw the
spread had Jill with 65% on her, but that seems a bit high. That puts

Mewtwo's definitely my number two pick for a new character. With all
the strength we've seen from Pokemon recently, it could use a good rep. Nobody, however, will ever displace Midna in my heart! She'll definitely be stronger than any of the other characters suggested, as well as stronger than any new characters in this contest! And an almost inevitable position in SSBB can only make her even better! --- Pity for the guilty is treason to the innocent. |
