He wants to say 43%, but, uh...isn't. Or something. And you'll always get characters that every person or so 'cares' about. Like Pac-Man. Remember how supposedly 'hardcore' Pac fanboys there were on Pac/Ocelot? Didn't mean that anyone cared about him, and it proved it in the next round. --- Commit it to memory. |

Nooooo. You made the right choice in not playing KH. The game is
terrible, and the point you lost completely justifies not having to

Reality called, said you were wrong on all counts but the last. Then
you bracket called and said wants to reak up with you because you don't
care for it enough and you don't take good care of it. Maybe you missed the point. I just said that I believed that Claire over Kairi was a logical choice and was one of the better upsets to take, but it just didn't pan out that way. Why should I regret every wrong bracket choice I made just because they were wrong? Oh and by the way, it's just one point. How is picking a character that's likely going to end up decently close
to the other character when all is said and done an impossible or
irrational pick? Just going from this I think it's safe to say that
Claire would have beaten Kairi last year, if anything. --- Commit it to memory. |

80/20 is a fairly reasonable split. Ivy seems to me to be one of those
characters that could actually lose to Vyse. Possibly wouldn't, but

It's been 45 minutes and Claire's not cut into the lead once yet.
Unless the day-vote goes the complete opposite of what we expect or if
Claire makes a killing later in the night (both unlikely), Kairi's got

Right. And my point was that it wasn't logical. Ever. I didn't miss a thing. Considering the fact it appears as if this match will end somewhat close, how can picking the loser be illogical? How is thinking, "Hmm, Claire's probably less popular than Jill and Kairi's more popular than Ansem. That will probably put them around the same popularity. I'll just go with my gut and pick Claire" illogical in some way. Right, and if soemone made that pick last year I'd hear them out.
Post-KH2, no friggin' way. The only logic to work off involved assuming
Claire's 2k2 value was even remotely close to real (it's not) or that
Kairi is as weak as pre-KH2 Ansem (which she's not). There was NOTHING
else to base it on that hols any weight at all, and both of those
pieces of logic are flawed to begin with. Oh, and Claire is just going to fall away all day long and up getting 55/45'd. That's not all that close, and it really does make picking Claire unreasonable. --- If you mark someone for flaming/trolling, maybe you deserved it. |

Also, while I still think Claire > Kairi was fairly reasonable,
don't kid yourself into thinking this will say "52-47" (ha! =P). The

This match, like I said, basically spells my perceptions for
Jill/Peach. Peach will probably take it in a ho-hum, 55-45 affair. Good

I don't see how it's illogical to assume that Claire is about as strong
as Jill (maybe slightly weaker). Taking someone who very well could be

Make no mistake, Jill would beat Kairi. Unlike Claire, Jill was and
still is the unofficial face of Resident Evil. There's a reason that up
until RE4, she was the only character graced with her own (mostly)
stand-alone game. She's hotter, more assertive, and people connect to
her more. It's not by leaps and bounds, but Jill would still take this
without much of a problem. Which means, guess what? Kairi is still likely fodder. --- Commit it to memory. |

Maybe I'm missing something, but when I think Resident Evil, I think
Jill Valentine. I didn't know who Claire was until this contest, having
only played half of RE3 and watched some of 1. Jill always seemed like

No, but there's a semblance of a valid point there. Moltar and others
were saying it before; there's inevitable whining with any result, and
then I extended that to the stats topic, too. More often than not, both
sides present valid arguments, but one side wins, and in a match as
close as this, which it is, I don't think any side is clearly,

"taking someone who very well could be as strong as Jill Valentine over Kairi seems pretty logical to me." Jill, statistically, would struggle with pre-KH2 Ansem. and in a match as close as this, which it is, I don't think any side is clearly, incontrovertibly more right than the other. Thank you. It's not even necessarily the match; it's about how good of a pick
