The bracket is alright, but there's alot of wasted potential because
only 4 divisions are male. The female idea is a good one except there's
alot of characters who are gonna suck. Maybe 2 female divisions next
year would get some females into the contest without ruining the good

Yeah, I'm the only one that made mention of the bracket being bad,
honestly go back and read the last page of the last discussion topic,
all I was saying was that I'm glad everyone isn't hailing this as
amazing, and I'm the only one slightly dissapointed. I think the

I do not understand why Yoshi is favored over Dante. Why wouldn't he be? Luigi is very close to Dante in the X-Stats and Yoshi directly beat Luigi 54/46. I'd be surprised if Yoshi *wasn't* the favorite. --- Z1mZum totally owned me in the July 2006 Guru Contest The Funky Chickens in Trivia XVIII |

I still think Yoshi might be overrated, and that he just rSFFs Mario
characters. (the favorites poll suggests this might be true) Yoshi disappointed vs Link, disappointed vs Mega Man. Every other match he's had has been against a Mario character or fodder that doesn't matter anyway. (Okay, Pac Man's not quite fodder... but eh) I said it before to not much response, but I'll say it again. On another note, I sent you an analysis, Moltar. Got it What if Yoshi wasn't actually "SFFed" by Mega Man, but rather exposed for the midcarder he is? That would be a sad day. I had Yoshi for awhile, but when I thought about where Yoshi through
Laharl or Pac-Man put him, the chance that Dante wasn't over-rated by
Crono/Vincent, DMC3:SE (and I think DMC3 became Greatest Hits since
last year), the bracket-advantage their seeding will give him, and
Dante > Yoshi in 2k3/4/5 by a little bit in the stats and a common
opponent in Ryo Hazuki... ...I still give Yoshi the edge in intangibles despite this, but I think Dante's gonna be just far enough ahead to keep it won. I'm guessing right now that it'll be the closest match of the contest. --- Z1mZum performed a hit and run on me in the Guru Contest. It still hurts to be rear-ended like that..... |

Ganon/Vincent's the most debatable to me, but I get the feeling it
won't be THAT close. Definitely closer than 55-45, of that I feel

Jill > Peach is good, I'll admit. I'll feel really crappy if it does happen now that I switched to have Peach winning. But Claire isn't going to be close to her 2002 value. I have her over Kairi because I think she'll be weak as hell, not because of Claire's own strength. Rikku should easily beat either of them. If Claire hasn't dropped since 2002 and Tidus is around the same
strength in 2k5 that he was in 2k2, it's a distinct possibility that
Claire could match that 45% and compete with Rikku. Just going by the
stats, of course. Too many 'ifs' there for my tastes, of course. --- Commit it to memory. |

Indeed. Sadly, as far as I'm concerned we've never had a steady value
on Tidus. He's likely overrated in his match with Sonic in 2k2 (to say
nothing of WDF), he's behind Mr. Knux-fodder in 2k3, he's behind a
SFF'd Mega Man in 2k4, and he's behind a questionable Kirby/Bowser in
2k5. And his reward this year? Potential weirdness of both Squall/Tidus and Snake/Squall. Yummy. --- Commit it to memory. |

Rikku isn't exactly the pivotol of strength, and Ryu seemed to fall a
tad last year, so thats gotta mean somethin right? Now lets just hope
Claire can take advantage of the recent RE increase as of late, and
I'll have made a good last minute choice. And Draco talked me into Jill

I admit, hes the first stats dude thats actually made me change a few
decisions. Yes, I'm a guy who had stuff like Vincent winning his
division and Diablo doing good in the Villains Contest(didn't put him
