And, yes, my name will have Link next to it because Link is making a cameo appearance in the main bracket. He'll be in Ganon's corner come match time against Sonic, Crono, and Mega Man. Link: 33% Mario: 19% Cloud:17% Crono:16% Sephiroth:15% First of all, Mario is not going to be beating Cloud and Sephiroth in any of those polls. Second, Crono is not going to be getting that close to Cloud Strife in a favorites poll. Especially now after Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts 2. Same for Sephiroth. Crono will be lucky to get 5th... Clinkeroth will be taking such a huge portion of the vote that the fight for last will be extremely close. That's why I say if a core Metroid fanbase exists that can secure Samus 8-10%, she can actually last a round. I see it going something like this: Link 35% Cloud 21% Sephiroth 17% Mario 11% Samus 8% Crono 8% Link is going to take so much post-TP that Mario won't be able to capitalize on being able to SFF Samus. I think the bottom three are going to be extremely close. They are going to have to rely solely on hardcore fanbases since there are so many options. Liking Mario "just a little" won't cut it for him in a poll with such heavy hitters. It's going to be a lot tougher than the "favorite Mario character poll" for him. The choice of Crono over Sephiroth is very debatable, and probably my
biggest upset. On the other hand, Mario beating Sephiroth in at least
one of the rounds of the battle royale is very reasonable, Mario is
bound to get a lot of the layover from casual voters and fans of other
characters like Megaman or Sonic or Samus (Round 2). Not to mention

Saying Cloud and Seph are going to be hurt because of a split in
fanbase, and then having Mario finish above them despite Link being in
there fresh off of TP, is just about the dumbest thing I've read in

The results from where it was taken (http://ffonline.com/) are all
screwed up and missing some characters. They do say that Cloud went on
to win the poll with 31.28% of 82,575 votes. The order of the poll went something like this though... 1.) Cloud Strife 2.) Sephiroth 3.) Vincent Valentine 4.) Tifa Lockhart 5.) If you remove Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa from that poll, which the results do, here's what you get... Oh, well, nevermind what I once thought. After seeing that and Cloud
consistantly outdo Sephiroth both head-to-head and indirectly, not to
mention Cloud out-shining Sephiroth in FF:AC, I feel pretty good saying
Cloud's not going to be outdone by Sephiroth. I really doubt
Sephiroth's role in KH2 outdoes Cloud's role THAT much, surely to

There's not much else to choose between them except who gets the luck. Interesting poll about the FFVII characters. Seems to be pretty
analogous to contest strength. I seriously doubt Sephiroth will outlast
Cloud in the Battle Royale. Oh, and those curious as to how well Dirge of Cerberus is selling, we'll be able to find out the exact numbers for the month of August this Thursday. Ah. Yeah, I'm pretty sure AK saying LoZ:OoT wasn't that popular or several
of Tai's ramblings have it beat by a mile. Notable mentions that still
have it beat include Smurf's rants about Shadow, the way Ulti wouldn't
stop saying "lol x-stats" until it became mockable, and probably my
logic for FE > SH (though I still won the Analysis Crew point off of
