I'm not a fan of all this Sephiroth > Cloud stuff. Sure, Sephiroth is almost as popular as Cloud, but Cloud surely has more fans in total. It maybe
could happen since the Nintendo fanbase is taken out of it due to
having their own options to vote for. But still, I think Cloud should
have the edge due to Advent Children at the very least. Sure, Sephy has

Name 5 good things about Crono besides "He wields a sword and saves
the world". You enter commands and watch him attack. Like Link, Crono
is a mute, but you at least battle as Link. You don't execute Crono's
attacks, and he has nothing to say. Awesome design, one of the strongest characters in battle, high critical %, he has Lightning as his element, and he has Luminaire. Frankly, that's all you need to be a huge Crono fan. Who here that likes Link really think it's because you play as him? It's because he has fire arrows, bombs, shoots beams out of his sword, and has a hookshot. She might be fodder level now, just not bad enough to lose to Kairi. Fair enough. I can see the match going 55-45 either way, but I am in more of a "Claire" mood today. Nemesis is high fodder, though...don't you think Claire Redfield would at least be above Nemesis? Does anyone think the upcoming Sonic games on the horizon and him
leading in the next generation will make him a tad stronger? I think
he's on the upswing. I'd seriously take him over Mega Man this year.
And if Sonic the Hedgehog was released just a bit earlier, I'd seriously consider him over Crono. Of course, that's if his game actually fits the billing. But it is on the horizon though. I think the board is putting too much stock into KH2. I would be
surprised if Riku and Sora (if you have her adjusted) would break 55%

I took MEga Man last year over Sonic, yet this year I'd take Sonic over
Mega Man. I'll also say this: if Crono loses before he gets to Samus, I

Crono is just asking a bit too much. I think he'll put up MM-like numbers on him. That's why I said I wish Sonic the Hedgehog came out a bit earlier. It's like people want to be hyped for a Sonic game, but they remain skeptical. But this upcoming year is setting up to be big for Sonic if Sega pulls through and makes his games good. He has Sonic the Hedgehog coming out for Xbox/PS3 (a PS3 launch game! Given what the launch of the PS2 was, and the rest of the PS3 launch line-up, StH is probably one of the bigger launch games as far as GameFAQs is concerned). He also has the Wii game and Sonic Rivals to reach out to that other handheld fanbase. And if he actually gets in SSBB, I'd say he safely gets the number 5 spot next year. I just got to thinkin'...I rreeaallllyy hope CJay uses
pictures for every battle royal. Six characters in that size of a box
may be somewhat difficult for CJay or other people to make good. He
might not use a picture for it, at least the first day...though I hope

I've been saying since the last Character Contest that Sonic would beat Mega Man in 2006. Come on now, people! Yeah...but I'd take Kairi over Nemesis as well. Now you're getting Kairi dangerously close to being non-fodder. You think Kairi could beat Dr. Wily and give Ocelot/Pac-Man/Kefka a handful? It's funny, in the Analysis Crew topic in the series contest I said
SSBB hype would give SSB barely enough edge to beat Sonic (it ended up
winning with 57%!) and everyone said hype doesn't mean **** and I was
foolish, yet I see lots of people here talking about hype boosting
characters... Anyway, who do you guys have for Samus/Male Winner (I got Crono) and how sure are you? I have Crono right now but I dunno... Samus > Crono. I'm certain about Samus, but not nearly so much with
Crono. I feel the best about Sonic if Crono doesn't make it there,
though Solid Snake has a distant shot if hype for MGS4 and SSBB coupled
with MGS3:S means enough (which I don't think will be enough to match

Bold Blue Blur Bracketeers Blow it on Big Brazen Bowling Balls!!! Uh..... that was starting to go somewhere and.... nevermind. >_> If nothing else I have, I can use precedence. Dumb? Yeah, evenI think so, but I'm sick and tired thinking of how much Sonic improved or Crono stayed even or Sonic fell or anything like that. Crono already beat Mega Man, and recently. I don't think Sonic is capable of making that final leap over Crono. Maybe it does even mean Crono wasn't weakening after all.... Mega Man has been really strong in the past... Sonic and Mega Man can trade off blows all they want, but last year, obviously Sonic would nto have beatn Crono, and I don't think a match that was over 51-49 can have a result change in just 1 year. Maybe that's kinda stubborn on my part, but it's how I feel. Crono is still from the 2nd most popular RPG on GameFAQs, and that is a self-standing fact that I'm gonna base my claim that Crono should beat Sonic. And really, look at Sonic's trend over the past three contests. Doubled
up by Cloud, 42% on Samus, and then going toe to toe with Mega Man. He

Anyone taking Peach over Tifa? For fun... Sp2K4 - Halo beats Kingdom Hearts with 53.41% Series Contest - Kingdom Hearts beats Halo with 56.21% KH beats former self with 58.56%! Of course, it won't turn out exactly that way with the characters... And, yes, I'd easily take Kairi over Nemesis. I think Claire would easily beat Nemesis, though (I hope)... --- "Ah, a party! If Sonic and Mega Man were to fight again, I'd wager it would still be
really close. Maybe I'd pick about the same %s, except that Sonic comes
out on the winning side. That prediction seems fair to me, as far as
Sonic's increase, which I still really doubt is that strong... and that
to me won't be enough to take down Crono. Sonic is a character who had
his heydey, and while he may see the orignal increase, his true stuff
was the old stuff, and that stuff can't get much more popular than it
is already. The old-skool fans already love him for the Genesis games
and vote for him on that. Sonic Mega COllection is already played
through too, so that won't help him much anymore, I think he might even
get some hate from his 3D stuff.... I just have a really bad inclination about Sonic... I know that's no hold if I ever want to analyze big matches... but it's just intuitive to me. I cannot see Sonic beating Crono... I would love it.... but still... when I picked him over Mega Man last year, that was a reach to me. Crono is too much. If Peach loses to Jill, I'll be surprised -- she should, by all means,
outdo Wario by a noticable bit, even with an adjusted Shadow 2k3.
Nintendo Boost, having her first own game this year, SSBM, classic
character, playable in probably more Mario side-titles than Wario... ...and I would think Wario would do good enough on Jill. Time'll tell on all that though, as always, but I can see Peach matching DK in a best-case scenario, and Jill's in no way going to beat DK. If Jill is in any way, shape, or form at her 2k2/2k3 level today,

The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking Peach is going to get
destroyed by Jill. I can't see Peach go toe to toe with Hayabusa or
