Wouldn't that mean Big Boss is The Boss' ceiling? ;) Although I have to add that Big Boss is underrated in the stats due to being behind Ganon and Samus. But yeah, bottom line is that I'm not expecting much out of The Boss. Enough that Celes actually has a chance. I re-iterate that it has nothing to do with believing that Celes has strength, so you guys can stop with the "overrating FFVI characters" thing. ok, for Celes vs. The Boss, keep in mind that Terra scored the same on
Dante as Big Boss did on Auron. that means that the two variables are: - how well would Auron do against Dante? -- how does The Boss stack up against Big Boss? i do think that Auron would beat Dante, but not by as much as Vincent did. that makes Big Boss a bit more popular than Terra. i repeat that Celes and Terra are probably going to perform very similarly. therfore, if The Boss is almost as popular as or more popular than Big Boss, then The Boss wins. but if Big Boss is quite a bit more poular than The Boss, then Celes wins. --- i have officially been Z1mZum'D in the guru contest. I'm just wondering who'll be stronger: The Boss or Big Boss? I would expect The Boss to be more popular by a bit. If the two are just getting their popularity from MGS3, I would certainly give her the favor. From what I have seen, The Boss is much preferred of the two. I also don't expect Celes to be more popular than Terra...at all. It's because Lucid, fresh off of second place in the Villains Contest,
spearheaded the entire thing. He also had help from RPGuy and his
hero:villain ratios. But Celes and her 20 fans are really overestimating her. If you look at the debates, everything banks on The Boss being weak. I've never had faith in "I hope my opponent is weak enough to allow me to win" rather than "I'm strong enough to win on my own".... if that makes any sense. I really do hope I'm wrong, because Celes has been my favorite FF female for years. She's the only FF chick I bothered nominating. But I just... really don't see how she can pull it off. Few people actually care about her with the fervor you need to have for these contests, and the whole "Who is the main character of FF6?" debates don't really start until the World of Ruin, which everyone hates anyway. Now with that said, I dare anyone to tell me that MGS3 isn't one of the most touching moments in the history of gaming. I want Celes to win as much as anyone, but there's no WAY she competes with that game's ending. I mean I'd like to be wrong, but... damn. MGS3's ending makes me choke up just thinking about it. It's kinda unfair, but would anyone who's already said "yes" object to it? As long as no one has started their write-ups yet. If you think it's a good idea, go for it. I'm not sure if any of us would volunteer to step down, but I'd live with being replaced via ballot or random drawing or something. I do think Soul should have immunity, though; winning the last one should count for something. --- Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... Part of your woooorld! |

I still haven't beaten MGS3 yet, so please don't spoil it
for me. I haven't been gaming at all since I moved and started my job.
Still getting my apartment settled. I'll beat it before the bracket

Cause that would be very cool. =D And about this crew thing, I'm sure it's nice to have the name attached to your writing or whatever, but if you're analysis is interesting, funny or otherwise important, then people will see it anyways. As a MGS3 fan, I barely even associate Big Boss to a certain character
since you only find out about it in the game's ending (if you never
heard the rumors first, that is). I associate much better feelings with

I also think that The Boss would be favored more than Big Boss to MGS3
fans. I wouldn't go as far as to say that Big Boss is The Boss' floor,
but I'm betting there's a good chance she's stronger than him. Ocelot

The smiliarities between The Boss and Big Boss begin and end at their names. No one looked at the old guy with the eyepatch last year and went, "WHOA! He's the guy from MGS3!" They just didn't. If you think they did, you're wrong. Or you and your ridiculous absolutes are wrong. The only problem I had with the Analysis Crew was that there were times
where I didn't have enough time to read each and every analysis. If I
was really pressed for time I would just read Moltar's and skim through
the rest. Had everyone posted their analysis at different times I'd
probably would've been able to read them all like I did with Steve and

Terra would be expected to get about 43% on Ocelot. I don't think The
Boss could match that, and I think Celes is comparable to Terra.

I played MGS3, and it did nothing for my perception of Big Boss. Any
MGS3 boost goes to Solid Snake in my eyes. Big Boss is still just that

Every MGS3 fan isn't going to vote for Big Boss due to Naked
Snake, but there are plenty that will. That's all I wanted to point

Right, I'll agree with you...but I really don't think the people who
are voting for Big Boss for reasons other than MGS3 will match the
number of people who prefer The Boss to Big Boss in general, no matter

I just mean that there are a lot of people on thi ssite.... and I admit
I guess, that it really won't help that much, I forgot to realize most
people who visit there probably already know about it, my bad. But, it'll help a little. Anyway, I'm comfortable just sticking with GFNW, and leave it at that. Something will happen. I think Pheonix will win. Gordon will get a fair share of anti-votes,
and Pheonix will have the objection backing (by how much we'll have to

Yeah...that's also why I am highly inclined to switch to Celes. I initially had Celes for similar reasons, but after reading some reactions my perceptions changed to The Boss being the safer pick. But really, I have so little faith in The Boss having any strength. Terra is weak, but if you think about it, The Boss doesn't have much reason to be significantly stronger than Terra. Janus: Objection didn't do anything for Wrighto's seed. I don't know how you can say this...he'd be on no one's radar if it wasn't for that fad.
