I think the answer is zero, but seeing as how all three of Yoshi's
losses came in SFF matches, I wouldn't pay any attention to his X-Stats

I'd call Bowser/Yoshi pretty legit, honestly...he's never appeared as dominant as the Koopa King has. I honestly just put Luigi as his floor and just work from there. --- Commit it to memory. |

I'm curious: what percentage would be take Yoshi with in a rematch
between him and Luigi? I know that there are some who would take Luigi
in a rematch, but I haven't seen much percentage prediction. --- Pity for the guilty is treason to the innocent. |

Any Mario SFF inducing match between Luigi/Yoshi/Bowser would be a real

I'd take Yoshi over Luigi and Bowser over both, all with percentages
close to their last matches (and Bowser with about 59%-60% on Luigi). And I forgot Samus had faced both Sonic and Ganon. Even if Ganon suffered a little SFF, that would put them near even. Initial thoughts of the bracket through the first round: **** the
female side, **** it to all hell. Knux not getting in sucks nuts, I
nommed him because I thought it was gonna happen, and he didn't. A lot
of people seem to be wasted, the world is going to implode, and PoP
doesn't have a winnable match (glad he got in though). I'm beyond tired
at this point though, so my feelings may change tomorrow. Overall eh. I

Gah, forgot to rewrite one of these when I changed my mind... FACT: Link wins all 5 Battle Royale matches. No reason for him not to. He would do so even without Twilight Princess. FACT: Samus fails to break 8%. Why would she? I find it hard to believe that 8% or more of GameFAQs users would prefer Metroid to Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Trigger, the Mario Series, and the Zelda series. FICTION: Sephiroth beats Cloud in at least one match. Cool as that would be, Sephiroth will be SFF’d, not Cloud. FACT: Clinkarioth will not be the Final Four. The only weak link in Clinkarioth is the Mario portion, so the only way Clinkarioth wouldn’t be the final four would be if Mario happened to be beaten by the male or female winners. We all saw how that last Mario vs. Samus match turned out, so Mario vs. Crono (assuming he wins) is the only way to defeat Clinkarioth. I suspect that Mario will suffer more SFF from Link than Crono will suffer from Cloud and Sephiroth because I believe that the FF fanbase and the CT fanbase are divided more sharply than the Mario and Zelda fanbases. FACT: Votals will surpass 175,000 in at least one Battle Royale match. Every character is a vote drawer, so vote totals should be very high with all of them combined. FICTION: Mario beats Cloud in at least one poll. Nope, Mario will have more of an SFF problem than Cloud. FICTION: Assuming Crono wins the Male bracket, he avoids SFF. No way in hell. There will be some SFF in every Battle Royale match. FICTION: Yoshi/Snake is closer than Ganon/Sonic. Why would they be? Yoshi and Snake are nowhere near each other in the x-stats, while Ganon is only a few percentage points from Sonic and will be in Twilight Princess. --- Official Queen ***** of the Universe! As a random aside, if any third-party character was to make it into
SSBB other than Sonic/Mega Man, I couldn't imagine anyone better than

Eh, I've changed my mind again already...Clinkerioth will probably make

Kirby did better on Bowser than Luigi did on Yoshi, which makes me
*very* apprehensive on considering Luigi > Kirby. If it was rSFF on
Bowser that made Kirby do it, I'd expect him to do the same to Luigi. No matter, as I *really* don't anticipate the match happening... --- Commit it to memory. |

Kirby would beat Luigi, but Zero's beating both. 45% on Yoshi vs 48% on Bowser. Don't they also both have a common Squall matchup? have never been in a contest before the other one wins and if both of
them haven't then the one with the higher seed wins and if possible I
might be able to do a range. Round 1 Samus vs Nidoran F: Samus wins Ada vs Jade: Ada wins Rikku vs Lenneth: Rikku wins Kairi vs Claire: Claire wins 5/8 characters haven't been to a contest Tifa vs Ivy: Tifa wins The Boss vs Celes: The Boss wins Jill vs Sheena: Jill wins Peach vs Daisy: Peach wins This division is even worse than the last one with 6/8 haven't been to a contest Zelda vs Carmen: Zelda wins Terra vs Kerrigan: Terra wins 59.92% KOS-MOS vs Amy Rose: KOS-MOS wins Aeris vs Marle: Aeris wins Finally we get a match with two characters that have appeared in a contest. Who do you think is more popular, The Boss or Big Boss? And by how much? The Boss by about a couple of percentage points. Both of them undoubtedly get practically all of their popularity from Metal Gear Solid 3, and I find that The Boss is generally more liked from that game. She'd probably be a small margin above Terra, who is in all likelihood more popular than Celes. I used to think the opposite, but someone mentioned a poll before and Celes didn't fair too well. Yeah, you can't really make a case for Luigi beating Kirby. Zero, on
the other hand, could. I wouldn't take Zero over Bowser, but I can see

The Boss by about a couple of percentage points. Both of them
undoubtedly get practically all of their popularity from Metal Gear
Solid 3, and I find that The Boss is generally more liked from that
game. This is odd, but I sort of disagree. The Boss gets all of her popularity from MGS 3, but, drifting into MGS SPOILERS here, but obvious enough ones, MGS 3 might as well be Snake. I know technically that Snake is Big Boss in that game, but he looks like the Snake everyone knows and love. I wouldn't be surprised if Big Boss gets his popularity from MGS and 2 (I actually can't recall off the top of my head if he was) and not from 3. If Big Boss were to benefit from MGS3 it would have to be sort of an odd mental transition to benefit an older character from a radically different younger character's appearance. It's strange, but I guess that's what happens when the games are presented in nonsequential order. Anyway, Melee was in no way obvious. The close match with FFX is testament enough to that. There were plenty of valid signs (from what I"ve seen from those who had the pick) that Samus > Mario. I always have and will maintain that everyone who picked Samus to win that match was out of their goddamn mind, "valid" statistical signs or not. Mario being higher than Samus on the Nintendo food chain is just common sense. But enough about the past.
