Yoshi vs Knuckles. go. Knuckles (2005c) VS Yoshi (2005c) Knuckles has a strength of 32.49. Yoshi has a strength of 29.01. Knuckles wins with 55.36% of the vote! A win of 9,415 with 87,900 total votes cast. With that said I'd still go with Yoshi. I think he is underrated in the stats because of SFF and Knuckles also has the chance to be a little overrated too. Either way I still think it will be a close match. --- "I was trying to escape. I'm not really sure why Mega Man seems to be the target here. He did
beat Sonic and put up a very decent performance against Crono, all this
not mentioning his crushing of Yoshi, which helps prove no one outside

Because they like to use meaningless occurances to suit their personal opinions. As for Phoenix, I still think he gets in, probably at around a 6 or 7 seed. PoP isn't getting in however, and I thought this for a while now, in the nomination rally topics people were copy and pasting their nominations directly from the nomination page, and I can't being to say how many variations of his name I saw. Tingle of all people making it into the contest is so incredibly
strange. If he couldn't get into any other character contests, which

It's just Smurf. He's been on a "Mega Man is out of the Noble Nine"
trip for quite some time now, and people are taking him seriously for
some reason now. I'm *really* hoping for alternating between male and female divisions, though I know it's basically for naught. But it's basically my only chance to see Mega Man/Samus, since I don't think MM is going to make up the difference against Crono. Also, depending on TP's release, if DoC keeps atop the FAQ pages, and the bracket, I may very well have Snake getting upset this year. --- Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. PoP isn't getting in however, and I thought this for a while now, in

That is, if Vincent even makes it in this year. I think his seeding
will tell me a lot about DoC's effect (if he's like a 6 or a 7 I won't

Donkey Kong is clearly anti-voted for ever trying to capture that dear,
sweet Peach. Sure you might say then why is the pigman so popular when

How do you explain Bowser, then? And you have the nerve to call yourself a Mario fan?! Psh-haw! Bowsers intention has obviously never been to hurt that dear delicate Peach who can rip your face off in a second if she wanted to, but she wouldn't because that's how lovely she is. Bowser is but an ugly, grotesque being who has no chance of ever actually courting Peach, so in fit of hopelessness caused by his ever-lasting love for Peach, he captures her, hoping to change her opinion of him, and making sweet love all night long. Woah, I just realized: unless Ceej starts with the ladies, the
tradition of starting with a Nintendo character is going to be broken.

And no way I see Mega Man falling out of the N9. I'd still put him over
Snake, and while I think Sonic has a chance to beat him this year,
there's no way I would write off Mega Man. He's still got strength,

I'm going to try something while making my bracket, I shall call it the
Nintendo Nine. The members of the Nintendo Nine are (in order of
strength) Link Mario Samus Ganondorf Bowser Zelda Yoshi Kirby Luigi The Non-Noble Nine Nintendo Nine (try saying that really fast) will beat any character except for the FFVII trio. So Vincent (if he makes it in) will beat all of the guys while Tifa and Aeris will beat Zelda. Mario and Samus will beat anybody except for Cloud and Sephiroth and Link will become the contest champ. The only trouble I would expect are from Auron, Knuckles, Dante, Magus and maybe Sora, but that;s a risk I am willing to take. --- "I was trying to escape. Ganondorf above Bowser is one thing (seeing as how I disagree, but it's
arguable), but Yoshi over Kirby? Direct performances on Bowser
contradict that, and Kirby faced a stronger Bowser. And I don't think Nintendo is joined at the hip. If everyone gets proportional boosts, then Samus *is* above Sephiroth. --- Do not kill. Vincent is the only one I could see fall into that category -- and it's
hard to see that happening, thanks to DoC. Ganondorf is the only other
character that has been that hyped up to be a Noble-Nine breaker, but
he's got so much past contest experience under his belt that he'd be

And if we had to confine it to *new* characters...I'd say the only
chance we'd have is if Ceej changed his mind and allowed Mega Man X (or
some other N9 'clone') in. I'm sure you'd have a lot of people taking X
over Snake, and he also could 'bomb'...if by 'Zero level' you mean

Sora would beat Luigi this year if they met. Also, I know he's Disney
on some technicality, but why isn't Sora on that list? It's clear that
as far as this site is concerned he's as good as being a Square
