It is looking good for Tron though, so thats something. And I'm really
shocked and appauled Sora got more nominations than Mega Man. That

Wow at Sora getting a 1 seed. It will be interesting to see how much KHII has boosted him. Yay at Carmen getting in, although it sucks that she won't have a shot to win a match. If I was Ceej I would have the women's half like this. That's what I had in my mock bracket. 1. Samus 2. Whoever 1. Yuna 3. Yuffie 2. Rikku 1. Tifa 2. Aeris here or below 1. Zelda 2. I still don't see Sora being that strong. I think Sora being a #1 seed
is a good sign for Vincent and Squall, but I don't think Sora himself

And I cheated and thought. I'd pick Master Hand, because I can't see
Tingle > Kuja (but then again, most couldn't see Master Hand >

If Ivy pulls 40% on Yuna, she's worth 20.88% on BL, around the level of
Kratos Aurion and above Jin Kazama (which I think is her ceiling, and
she'll be hard pressed to hit that). If she gets 35% there, she's worth

Given the way the bracket is likely to be set up, another ToC does more
good than bad. You'll still have tons of interesting match-ups with it,

And Tingle will still be uber fodder. Just because he's from LoZ does
not mean he's any strong. He is hated by LoZ haters and LoZ fans alike,
and is unknown by people who never played LoZ. Add to the fact he wasn't in the more popular games, and will not be picture friendly, I'm predicting he will be one of the weakest characters to ever appear in these contests. |

Indeed, with only 32 males, Link, Cloud, Sephy, and Mario taking up all

No, Tingle will still be uber-fodder. I doubt it actually. He'll be really weak, but him making it without a significant board joke rally indicates he won't be as weak as, say, Kerrigan or Agent 47. If Tingle faced a fellow Nintendo character, he might be a
Neo-Tanner...but there will be at least some people (like a certain
Mario) that'll vote for him either because he's Nintendo or the sheer
hilarity factor of him being in the contest. I don't think he'll break

I'm kinda afraid that the order Ceej posted the one seeds in is the order of the divisions. I'm really hoping that Samus's and Zelda's divisions aren't next to each other. Zelda fans are too stubborn to not support him. Portable Zeldas have been pretty unimpressive in GotY polls. Why would Tingle get more support than Minish Cap? --- Pity for the Gurus is treason to Z1mZum. |

On a side note, I think it's great that a character like Soma made the
contest. More people need to be aware that there are other great CVs
out there besides SotN. I remember when I asked HM for Vania sales
figures a while ago... sad stuff. Of the 4 portable Castletroids, only
CotM sold more than 400,000 copies. Dawn of Sorrow only sold like
~200,000. We're very lucky that Konami still makes such fantastic 2D
games, despite the fact that they don't get much attention, other than

Minish Cap was released in January or February 2005, which means it was old news by the time of the GotY poll. And at the time of the poll, people were still enjoying their fresh new games that they got for Christmas. game that they were currently enjoying. The Oracle games came out later in the year than MC, and they did a third as well as MC did. Release time is irrelevant for GotY polls; the best games just tend to be released in Fall. --- Pity for the Gurus is treason to Z1mZum. |

Tingle does have the whole being in Zelda going for him. But I think this is an overrated factor. Just being in Zelda isn't going to bring him any measure of strength. It's only worth so much. And I don't know where we're getting the idea that Tingle getting in without any rally that we're aware of means he's got some sort of fanbase.
