Eh, I wouldn't go that far. I can't see Nightmare struggling with GFNW. But yeah, I don't think he's not beating Sub-Zero. Sub's floor is Scorpion and there's evidence the MK fanbase prefers Sub far more than Scorpion. Yeah, but I wouldn't take Gordon Freeman's stat placement last year
seriously. I mean, come on...it's GFNW. HL2 couldn't have boosted him

To all those complaining why Tifa > Vincent, take a look at how close it is, it's well in the margin of error. Certainly, but Vincent did 2% better on an opponent who's 2% stronger than Sonic. They're both extrapolated through Noble Niners (one through the finalist, and another who's nearly equal with one the Noble Niner beat). Yeah, I don't trust Gordon Freeman one bit. The main problem I have is
does that reflect badly on Kennedy, or does it just mean Freeman voters
are weird... I mean he's never lost by that much. Still, I'm not so sure Kennedy's entirely legit either. --- Z1mZum whooped me so bad in the Guru Contest that the next Lopen wannabe is gonna feel it. |

Well, Leon was able to survive the doubling from Mega Man.
I don't really know if it was an overperformance or not. And if it is

Don't get me wrong, I'm more in favor of just throwing Freeman's number
down and leaving Kennedy's where it is. Well, that's the "internal
adjustment" I'm making. You put Freeman against a ton of other dudes
that are lower than him, I'm taking said other dudes. Kennedy, I'm just not sure about. I could see him costing me points against the wrong opponent if he gets in. --- Z1mZum whooped me so bad in the Guru Contest that the next Lopen wannabe is gonna feel it. |

Freeman's never the type to get blown out it seems. Leon was perhaps
the best character for the job to break 60% on him out of all of GF's

To be honest, I would pick Peach over Lulu in a heartbeat and I wouldn't think twice about it. In another closely related point, I really can't see Lulu doing that well in a contest. I just don't think she has any sizable fanbase. Look at where Yuna was before X-2. I'd imagine Lulu to be significantly worse than that and that would make her high-end fodder, if that. So...erratic Master Chief is more reliable than Vincent? Master Chief has every reason to be erratic, considering Halo 2 alone most likely caused X-Box ownership to raise close to a total of 5% on GameFAQs Excuse me while I laugh thinking Donkey Kong is in the same league as Ryu, Auron, and Luigi, and thinking DK beats Vivi with 55.13% now. Auron- Unless you think Samus didn't get any SFF on Ganondorf (which I'm not saying wouldn't be a bad idea) Auron isn't close to DK in the stats. Luigi- DK was close to Luigi in 2003 and 2004 pre-boost. Luigi- DK was close to Luigi in 2003 and 2004 pre-boost. I don't see what's wrong with him being close to Luigi post-boost. In another closely related point, I really can't see Lulu doing that
well in a contest. I just don't think she has any sizable fanbase. Look
at where Yuna was before X-2. I'd imagine Lulu to be significantly

Lulu being on par with 2003 Yuna puts her at 23% on Base Link, which puts her near someone like Ryu Hayabusa, but below Yuna and Rikku, which is what I would suspect anyway. Lulu definitely has a lot of people who like her, which is far more than I can say for someone like freaking Peach. She did perform well in the FFX character poll -- even out did Yuna -- and you'll notice that FFX characters have this tendency to be all around the same area as each other. I have no problem whatsoever taking Lulu over someone like Peach. Even if she were equal to 2003 Yuna, I'm still taking her safely over Hayabusa and even a few more above him. She's definitely not just getting by as "high-end fodder." She's not someone who is going to end up that low. I don't think she'd have any problems cracking the top 10 females, if she got in (I really hope she does). --- The winner begins with Z1m and ends with Zum... This is the truth! If the bracket is split into male and female halves, then it's obvious
Samus, Zelda, Tifa, and Aeris will be the 1 seeds. If that happens,
what do you guys think their divisions would be called? Samus - Zebes Zelda - Triforce Tifa - Nibelheim Aeris - Ancient (or Spoilers) --- I and all the other Gurus are officially on Z1mZum's On Notice list. And that's The Word. |

Spoilers Division? That's too humorous to actually be done. If she gets
that, Tifa would get the TJF Division. Aeris would more likely be the

Why is it enough for Zelda to be Link's girl, but not enough for Peach to be Mario's? I can understand people arguing against her being strong, but I agree with therealmnm with: This topic is simply against considering that Peach may have any kind of strength. Why is it enough for Zelda to be Link's girl, but not enough for Peach to be Mario's? It isn't enough for Zelda. Some disagree with me, but I have reasons for believing she's as strong as she is other than just being the damsel in distress. This topic is simply against considering that Peach may have any kind of strength. No, I've considered it. I'm just not convinced. What a brilliant new idea, Ulti! But yeah, it wouldn't be a bad idea because we certainly don't need 32 females. However, I feel that this (like the Villains Contest for Sephiroth) is being considered as a legitimate means of "retiring" Samus for next year. ...I really hope CJayC stops putting contest winners into a side bracket next year. Why? We're just getting free matches extra. It doesn't change anything
except that now the characters that can't lose to anyone but eachother
don't have to waste early spots. Did we really need so many free points
in the bracket? I honestly can't see why it's a big deal that we have a
