I know everyone's fought about Peach for long enough, but she isn't
going to bomb in this contest. How many Zelda fans do you see running
around proclaiming their love for her? She's done so little compared to
what Peach has; sure she might be cooler, but through the Paper Mario's
and her own video game (that has to count for something) she isn't
going to completely fail. I also know this argument has been said
enough times, but I just want it on the record that I'm in the Peach
Support camp, too. --- Revenge is a dish best served by Z1mZum in the 2k6 Series Guru Contest. |

Of course, there were probably quite a few people who would be embarrassed even to buy the game. And I know a lot of people who like Sheik. Besides, the majority of Mario's popularity comes from the main series (obviously) where, aside from SMB2, Peach is hardly anywhere to be seen except at the very end. She probably gets some help from Mario RPG as well, but I don't think it'd be enough. I've stated before that Sheik being a part of the second biggest game on the site accounts for a lot. Hmm, something I been thinking about recently, since we'll only have
like 1 or 2 new females that would break 23% on Base Link, which ones
do you think could finish around 23%-18%, which is pretty much the
range of KOS-MOS to Terra? Some names I considered are Celes, Cammy, Lulu, Clarie & Ada Wong (aside from Wesker, RE characters do pretty well for themselves). Maybe Kasumi, Morrigan, one of the FF8 & Chrono gals? --- Noms: Ken, Nightmare, Sub Zero, Captain Falcon, Raiden(MGS), Knuckles, Sora Chun-Li, Morrigan, Sheena, Cammy, Presea, Talim, Ayane |

I personally think SMB2, SMRPG, and Mario Kart alone are enough to get her votes over someone non-Nintendo that isn't stronger than a mid-carder. Not to mention how long she's been around. I already say that Pac-Man is her floor. I definitely don't see him being stronger than Peach. After that, there's not that much space between Pac-Man and Chun-Li. Toad would probably beat Peach. Maybe not by a doubling... but I don't think Peach wins that match. And as for Peach being top 10... well, I'm going to take my female nomination guess-sheet (from http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/detail.php?board=8&topic=29670256&message=324664186) and try to figure who I'd take over her without giving it too much thought. 1. Samus 2. Zelda 3. Tifa Lockheart 4. Rikku 5. Chun Li 6. Yuna 7. KOS-MOS 8. Terra 11. Jill Valentine 13. Aeris Gainsborough 15. Cortana 16. Quistis 18. Sheena Fujibayashi 19. Celes 22. Rinoa 23. Morrigan 25. Cammy 28. The Boss 30. Kairi 32. Yuffie Holy crap... that's pretty horrible. And I'd struggle with a few more on my list, too. But looking at it... I don't think the female half is necessarily that horrible. Few elites... but there's a decent amount of low midcarders in there that could at least break the fodder line. The Halo fanbase seems to like Cortana from my experience with it. I'd
consider taking Cortana over Arbiter... I don't think she'd be total fodder. --- Z1mZum whooped me so bad in the Guru Contest that the next Lopen wannabe is gonna feel it. |

I don't see why people are doubting Cortana getting into the bracket.
Hardcore Halo fans... that's the only thing they have to think of for
the female half! MC always gets a 3+ seed, Cortana can at least
scrounge up a 6 seed in the weaker nomination field. --- Z1mZum whooped me so bad in the Guru Contest that the next Lopen wannabe is gonna feel it. |

Peach would easily be top ten among the female characters. No. Who are those ten then? The only ones I can say are definites are Samus Tifa Aeris Zelda Chun li Who else could beat her? The ff10 chicks are general hated on this site and is nowhere near the FF7 chicks. Other than Quistis FF8 chicks are even more hated. FF4, FF6, FF9 characters has too small of a fanbase to really do anything. (The stupid hand beating Kuja should be proof enough) Then you go with other RPGs where KOSMOS is the only one with decent strength expect she's been on a downward spiral for years. We know how non-snake MSG characters perform. Peach is easily the 3rd most popular female Nintendo character. The only place where I can think of someone sneaking in ahead of peach is the RE chicks but thats not enough to keep Peach out of the top ten. |

She's nonplayable, and isn't particularly memorable, anyways. I don't
know, maybe she'll get in but with a REALLY low seed. 6 maximum, but

The ff10 chicks are general hated on this site and is nowhere near the FF7 chicks. ... What? Yuna, Rikku, and Lulu would have no trouble beating Peach. Two of them have already proven to be pretty strong -- the entire FFX cast tends to be around the same general area in strength. --- The winner begins with Z1m and ends with Zum... This is the truth! Yuna and Rikku are both decent midcarders and would beat Chun Li. So if
you would take Chun Li over Peach why aren't you taking them? Yuffie
