DMC3 sold 700,000 copies. The Special Edition, which is included in
that total, sold somewhere around 200,000. Let's stop using that
700,000 number to describe the Special Edition. We know! I was just saying that because swirl acted like Lopen was crazy for thinking that if it had sold 700,000 copies that Dante would receive a boost from it, when it's apparent that he got a nice boost from the original not selling any more. --- Explicit Content I have been thoroughly owned by Z1mZum. Fighting on XBox Live Arcade effect the strength of Street Fighter 2

X would be pretty strong. In the same ballfield as MM, mainly because
casuals wouldn't be able to differentiate between the two. However, MM

Oh... you dirty whore. Either way, if PS2 RE4 only sold 600,000
copies, that's still hilarious to think Leon is going to be on the
level of Dante. That's more than DMC3 had sold as of the last contest. And IIRC, RE4 GCN only had ~500,000 in sales when the last contest happened, so there's a boost there too. I'm not calling on Leon to beat Dante in 2k6, just to be stronger than Dante 2k5. --- Pity for the Gurus is treason to Z1mZum. |

But Leon also got Capcom SFF'd against Mega Man! Okay, so that's getting kinda silly, but I still think Leon will get a considerable boost. Maybe not 5%, but I'd still take him over people like Ryu, Master Chief, Yoshi, and Tidus with a large degree of confidence. --- Pity for the Gurus is treason to Z1mZum. |

Leon would have to get a boost of practically zero to not beat those
characters, especially considering the likelihood that Bowser's entire
division is overrated by a couple percent. Even pre-boost Leon would've
beaten Tidus and possibly Ryu. After the boost, there won't be any

pre-boost Leon would've beaten Tidus and possibly Ryu. I find this unlikely. And I'm not entirely convinced that Leon Kennedy gets a large boost of any sort anyway. Besides, Yoshi is the least likely because he's below Luigi now. been adjusted completely accurately, so he's probably out of the

I really don't know what's more telling about Leon's strength. His
performance against Mega Man or against GFNW. Even taking HL2 into
account, GF goes from losing to Sam Fisher 55-45, to beating a

I'm not calling on Leon to beat Dante in 2k6, just to be stronger than Dante 2k5. So then you're taking Leon to beat Dante in 2K6. There's virtually no reason for Dante to increase. Plus Dante was never that low, if you look at his 2K3 numbers and go to 2K5 he only boosts 1.75% or so, I'm not talking BL here either, because even if you want to increase Link from year to year, I don't buy 2K5 Link getting 55% on BL. So if you want to increase that number a tad, go for it. There's no chance in hell DMC3 gave him a 5% boost, and I certainly would not have called for that pre-2K5, (as I was calling for him to get 30% on Link, and overshot by .01). Thinking that Leon is just suddenly going to get a 5% boost is a lot, and pretty ridiculous. --- Explicit Content I have been thoroughly owned by Z1mZum. Cheer me up. Okay, trying to catch up. I won't touch on all the Peach
arguments as I've already stated my case multiple times, but WTF at
people trying to discredit her awesomeness in Mario Kart and SMB2. Especially
SMB2. Toad better than Peach? Yeah right. Picking up stuff is
overrated. So you can get more coins with Toad. Big deal. You don't
need that many lives in the game anyways. Give me Peach's total control with her floating anyday. The crouch-jump-float simply rocks. And if I need the extra jumping power, I use Luigi, who goes for 15 blocks and jumps higher. I use Toad in what, the first level? Maybe a few more? And I never use Mario.
