Yoshi and Knux aren't anything to write home about, but they're
stronger than 3/4ths of the field. FF7's fan-favorite in Vincent made
the Elite Eight. FF6 is no FF7, but it's Super Six. Kefka might as well

Nothing makes me happier than seeing the stats topic explode into a

Like you said (and this is more realistic of FF6's possition) he's
the fan favorite. What have we learned about fan favorites? (ex: Yoshi,
Knux) Don't forget about Vincent, Auron, Vivi, and Zero! --- Pity for the Gurus is treason to Z1mZum. |

| The reason I didn't nominate Jay is because Link or Cloud is likely not in the main bracket. Without Clink, the chances of Jay breaking the all time futility record isn't a sure thing. |

Mega Man is the best person for the job. The way he just decimates
fodder, a low amount of anti-votes, universally known, that sort of
thing. Snake works that way, too. People like Mario and Sonic get too
many anti-votes, while people like Samus and Crono just aren't well

| There is no way Jay Solano takes 5.7% on Mega Man. But I won't be satisfied with that. It'd have to be like 97-3 for it to be really funny. Hell go for 99-1 lmao. But I worry the pity votes. |

What's up with all the Jay hate? Any character would break 90% on Jay. Most of us who nominated him will antivote him, he's on a N-Gage exckusive game which hasn't got any great reviews, and to top it all Jay look would lose the pic voters to John Madden. B8 will not vote for Jay, should he make the contest. That's the exact opposite reason of why we wanted him in to begin with. There seems to be quite a few people opposed to nominating fodders,
perhaps they'll vote for Jay just to spite the rallying... I know, not
enough of them to really make a difference though. Whoa Azp2k32, you have shadow beating both Squall and Vincent... interesting. |

I just tried to make a 32 male bracket and realized how tough it's
going to be to make the cut. Considering the large rallys for Captain
Falcon, PoP, Nightmare, PW, Jay, Raiden, and Sub-Zero... I really think
some people like Alucard and Frog are going to miss the cut if it is

Phoenix get in the contest and lose 92 - 8 to Mega Man than Vincent get
in the same spot and lose 55 - 45 or whatever he's projected to do. Well that's nice. Since that contest, he'll be having Dirge of Cerberus , Advent Children and KH2. He's projected to lose with 45.85% based on the previous contest, btw. I can't fathom how you could prefer uberfodder (yet with a fanbase strong enough not to be breaking any records, like you suggested with the 92-8 prediction) getting his ass blown out over a chance at one of the biggest upsets ever, and the possible end of the noble nine.. Trust me, even if I don't see Vincent winning, he would easily break 45%. Regardless though, if Vincent would have an amount of nominations that would warrant an 8-seed, Cjay will probably boost him some anyway. I just find it sad that someone with the contest potential of Phoenix Wright may be taking a spot over someone like Leon Kennedy or Tidus. What's so exciting about your favourite (or one of) characters losing in humiliating fashion anyway? There's more to the contest than exciting matches. It's about seeing
your favorite character represented and watching how that character
performs. Sure, it may not escape fodder level, but just getting your
favorite character in and having him or her even have the potential to
surprise some people and pull off something no one expected makes the
whole thing worth it. It's not like we have many surprises left from the current entrants we've been having, so we might as well nominate apparent fodder and be surprised when they shock everyone and actually beat someone like Kefka. Now that I think about it, I'd be shocked if Phoenix Wright doesn't escape being doubled by Kefka, especially if it's Lettuce Kefka. --- Nominate Nidoran F. |
