And yes, I bought Super Princess Peach. How could I not? I grew up with her every bit as much as Mario and Link. She owns. That's awesome, right there. My brother is a Peach player, too, granted neither of us can do any advanced tactics (*cries*, I"ve tried, and tried, and...), but he loves Peach to death, too. And yes, I bought Super Princess Peach. How could I not? I grew up with her every bit as much as Mario and Link. She owns. How could anyone not buy Super Princess Peach? Peach is easy as hell to use "advanced tactics" with. Oh and by the way, I never brought up the fact that SHE NEVER DIES. And Leon, I was never implying that Peach gets strength JUST from SSBM.
She'll certainly leech enough off Mario, so that the SSBM boost she

"Out of curiosity, where would you peg those three to be without SSB?" Samus would be the last of the Noble Nine, not Snake. Kirby would still lose to Squall post boost. Ness would struggle against Laharl (unless I'm underestimating the unaccounted for bits of SFF between Auron/Seph/Cloud). There's only so much being from Mario does for you. Go ask Wario about
that. There's a distinct difference between Peach's role in the Marioverse and Wario's. Peach actually gets into all of the Super Mario Bros. games. Wario's only Mario platformer appearance is Super Mario Land 2 as the final boss. After that he broke off into his own series and aside from the name of the first Wario Land, had no connection to Mario in his games. Slight KH spoiler... Oh and Leon, she shoots Squall that fun glance sometime surrounding a Tron episode. then it'll bite. Psh, I'll have you know, in my defense, that my post was made obliviously to your further posts in the topic! Your first post just says "explain why Kirby, Ness, and Samus are ungodly distance from their game." In any case, your logic is still flawed... all you're doing is assuming that Link = FF7, in reality by saying "Ness gets more on the champion". Is it right? Maybe, but it's still an arbitrary comparison. I'm just going by what matches they had... losing to Doom 43-57 doesn't look that bad in my books, really. I'd think Doom would be stronger than most fodder characters, as silly as it sounds... but come on.. it's friggin Doom! --- Z1mZum whooped me so bad in the Guru Contest that the next Lopen wannabe is gonna feel it. |

Neither was Toadstool. She could float. How is she not the best? reason, he only barely beats him now. He falls off the face of the

For what it's worth, Earthbound and Skies of Arcadia are near equals in
the Games Contest, and even so, I wouldn't have taken SoA over

No, I'm saying that in comparison Earthbound is tournament fodder
while Ness is not. there has to be an outside reason that prevents Ness
from being fodder and that's SSB. I'm not saying that Link = FF7 by any
stretch of the imagination. Earthbound is set to get 18.87% on the champion, whereas Ness is set to get ~20% on the champion. I can't see how you think this is such a huge difference as far as their fodder levels unless you're assuming FF7 is a weaker champion than Link. I'm tempted to say Vyse trounces Ness without SSB. It's a battle of
complete unknowns in that circumstance, and Vyse has intangibles like a

I wouldn't take SoA over EB or Vyse over Ness as things are, but if SSB
didn't exist I certainly would. I knew a ton of people that didn't know
who the **** they had just unlocked when playing through SSB and went
and played Earthbound on emulators afterwards. He gained massive stock
from SSB, and so did his game. that's why I set him apart so
drastically from the other two... Kirby's games were always known and
Samus' older games had to have been absolute **** if they increased

I think that there's probably a substantial difference between being in just SSBM, and being in SSB and
SSBM, especially considering SSB's ridiculous performance in the series
contest. Ness's SSB boost should be a lot larger than Peach's. --- Pity for the Gurus is treason to Z1mZum. |

Oh, and even though Auron is behind Ganon/Samus (and the adjusted for
Mario/Samus that has Samus = Mario rather than > Mario) he still

Think there might be just a little SFF there? creativename doesn't
seem to think so (or decided to do nothing about it because there
wasn't enough solid data) but I do. The problem I have is that the higher you raise Ness in that case, the higher you raise Jak.
