And just for the sake of making crappy adjustments: If Mario > Smash 65-35, and GTA > WC (among typical GF voters) 52.5-47.5 , then: FF 50.00% Mario 47.00% Smash 32.90% Sonic 27.86% MM 25.81% RE 23.94% SF 23.59% MK 21.62% GTA 18.67% WC 17.74% TES 16.62% DMC 16.23% DQ 15.55% Diablo 14.02% Madden 7.32% Shadow 5.86% I don't like having DMC under TES, but it doesn't look right above GTA either. I guess you're giving Squall a KH2 boost, which is fine, but I think Vincent would have boosted over the last year as well. I would pick Squall to defeat Vincent in a rematch. I refuse to pick against him when he has a realistic chance to win. Sort of like Lopen, who will take Master Chief or Dante, only he does it even when it's not realistic. I'd be confident to take Squall against Ganondorf. I don't think he's quite the Noble Nine breaker people think he is. Fun fact: I've perfectly predicted Master Chief's path in every contest. I don't overestimate him! And no, I didn't say FF VIII rSFFed FF VII. I said Squall rSFFed Vincent. There's a big difference... with logic. Logic that you understandably refuse to listen to, but logic nonetheless. I'm not saying Squall rSFFed Cloud or anything stupid like that. And hell, I'd say I overestimate Dante to a reasonable degree too. A 46-54 match is not a sure loss. Okay, so there was that Devil May Cry thing... but I still say that was more underestimating Sonic. optional doesn't resonate with me. We might as well say Dante rSFF'd

After KHII, Squall/Kirby wouldn't be close. Actually, I doubt it
would've really been that close last year. Kirby certainly would've
done better than in 2004, but I wouldn't dare to pick him to outright

The big difference is that the FFVIII fanbase is essentially completely
engulfed by the FFVII fanbase. It's not so much because Vincent is
optional, but that Squall is main. I'd take Squall to rSFF (maybe hold
the r) Tifa or Aeris... or anyone that isn't the commanding favorite of
their respective FF game... And if you look at the X-Stats... all of the things that look way out of place are on Squall's side. Kerrigan and Terra were unknowns... and I couldn't imagine them (particularly Terra) being that much lower, and Dante was coming off the new massively popular DMC3! And he might've been underestimated the year before because of his... viewtifulness. Yeah, that's right... massively popular. Don't deny it... Vincent would beat Squall by an even larger margin than he did before
if they had a rematch. Dirge of Cerberus, Advent Children, and whatever
Square influx we see should benefit him far more than Squall from KH2. --- Give you 10G if you act like a chicken! Yes. No. |
