Where's your 60% now, huh Leonhart?! *Watches FF dominate from here on out with MASSIVE UPDATES* --- Moltar Status: Wanting you to Nominate Shadow the Hedgehog! Super Mario Bros. vs. Final Fantasy - Bracket: SMB - Vote: FF (54/56) |

My LoZ finals pick is looking really sweet right now. Especially
considering it was picked by accident. *hugs scroll wheel* You and me
can pretend that I did all of the predicting. --- 4th Place of the Fall 2005 10-Year Anniversary Contest |

So, how far down can Mario get before we rule out the possibility of a day vote return? I'm thinking he needs to stay above 48% come morning for a reasonably good chance. --- Raiden is still [!!] nominations short! http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs9/genmessage.php?board=8&topic=27664244 |

If FF gets any higher than 2000 vote lead, I'll seriously doubt Mario's ability to come back. TuRtLe ~~~ Like Darth Maul, the bastard child of Michael Flatley and Hellboy. -trancer1 Nominate Carmen Sandiego for Character Battle V |

You kinda have to do it by %s with these vote totals, though. 2000
votes in a typical 2k4 match is like 4000 votes in this match. Eeew... ugly update for Mario. --- Raiden is still [!!] nominations short! http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs9/genmessage.php?board=8&topic=27664244 |

Yeah, but I know it better in votes. I'm thinking about 1.5, so, normally, it'd be 1333 votes. >_> --- Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are codes of behavior, and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost. |

Wow my Zelda pick that I hated since the contest started might give me a win. There's only 5 more perfects left with LOZ winning. I'm guessing about 1 or 2 is gonna be gone after this match. Then you include the people that aren't eligible for prizes or ignored the tie breaker question. I could be top 3 in prizes. Anyone know what the prizes are and how many people win them? |
RPGGamer0 | Posted 7/30/2006 11:22:08 PM | message detail |
I think it's 10, and they're gift certificates to a video game store I think. And, if SMB wins, I think all the perfects will be gone. --- Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. SMB is surprising, not the other way around! FF's still gon' beat Zelda, yo. --- Everything's 10X better with a RKO and Orton pose. ~ Donkey111 |

Pshht. It's more like Zelda will beat SMB. You know it to be true!! In all seriousness, I can't see SMB being equal to Zelda. I can't see it being much stronger wither, but it's not like it needs to be to beat FF. --- Warden: Talk! What is SeeD all about!? Squall: ...Flower. |

FF's tearing Mario up now. If it can continue to increase like this, things will flesh out just as I thought they would. --- Everything's 10X better with a RKO and Orton pose. ~ Donkey111 |
TheCruelAngel | Posted 7/31/2006 1:04:27 AM | message detail |
Heh. We'll have to find out tomorrow. The best part about all of this
is that almost everyone was saying that FF was the obvious winner.

Final Fantasy is doing really well right now. It seems to be pulling 57% updates just fine. --- Give you 10G if you act like a chicken! Yes. No. |
Karma Hunter | Posted 7/31/2006 2:03:08 AM | message detail |
Whoa, I get up and Final Fantasy is showing no sign of slowing down. My
intutition tells me (against my logic) that it has a damn good chance
of getting the day vote. Imagine if FF pulled out a come-from-behind win against Zelda with the day vote. That would be madness. --- Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are codes of behavior. |
ChichiriMuyo | Posted 7/31/2006 2:07:12 AM | message detail |
Heh, that's quite possible, though I have a feeling they'll just go
wire-to-wire. Of course, that's what past expectations would give us,

Karma Hunter | Posted 7/31/2006 2:52:50 AM | message detail |
Planet Gamecube worked for a 500 vote swing or so, barely. And it was never the thing that turned the tide in the first place. --- Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are codes of behavior. |

Planet Gamecube worked for a 500 vote swing or so, barely. And it was never the thing that turned the tide in the first place. I thought PGC's swing was estimated at more like 1500 votes. --- Nominate Aeris for SC2k6 |

transience | Posted 7/31/2006 3:08:52 AM | message detail |
looking at the most similar match we have (FF vs. Mega Man), FF gained
until about noon and then lost about .4% with the day vote. I'd say
53.5% or so seems a likely guess. tomorrow's match should be awesome. I doubt either wins by that large of a margin. --- xyzzy I lost a sig bet to War13104. Yes, the same guy who had Kefka over Crono. FOR THE HORDE! |
transience | Posted 7/31/2006 3:10:58 AM | message detail |
..though if FF keeps getting 57-64% updates, it might be more like
55-56%. that first hour has been especially brutal to FF this year.
Zelda's gonna need to absolutely bury FF before I lose confidence in
the first 30 minutes. --- xyzzy I lost a sig bet to War13104. Yes, the same guy who had Kefka over Crono. FOR THE HORDE! |

Ulti's analysis has it pegged at 1000. Eh, I wasn't paying *that* much attention that day... <_< --- Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are codes of behavior. |
MasterOfHunters | Posted 7/31/2006 3:48:33 AM | message detail |
This is amazing. FF just went from screwed against Zelda to a toss-up situation tomorrow. Votals are one thing, gaining 3 percents this fast on freaking Super Mario is extremely impressive. If Creative wins the bet, FF is clearly the favorite imo. 53%-55 is too tough to call, as I think that is what Zelda would get on SMB w/out the SFF. |

Based on KH/Metal Gear, this match is currently on pace for 161,400 votes. But it looks like it's dropping a bit. If tomorrow's match is close, it could blow away all previous records. --- Nominate Aeris for SC2k6 |
Karma Hunter | Posted 7/31/2006 4:45:23 AM | message detail |
Mario went 50/50 that time. Anomaly or hints of the day vote? --- Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are codes of behavior. |
