I don't think picking KH to win was stupid per se. Hopeful, maybe,
but definitely not stupid. If anyone wanted an upset not called Zelda

heh... is SSB doing better than Sonic would? Does anyone think Sonic wouldn't be getting doubled right now? Smash is seriously scary. I don't think Kingdom Hearts>MG was stupid at all. Especially when you consider that to be perfect, you had to pick CV>Halo and KH>CV. But still...I don't feel AS bad about Sonic getting beaten so easily at
this point. It theoretically means that Sonic could do better than

It's still idiotic and completely unjustified. I don't know about that. They could have been banking on the impact of one game (Kingdom Hearts II) paying off. I still think FF/SMB will end up closer than MG/KH, so take that as you

disadvantage against it - not a "series" mentality, match pic (if you
believe that sort of thing), obvious fanbase overlap... and it's still
managing to make it respectable. I'd be curious to imagine what Smash

more than just a small amount of strength to Melee. I really don't

This is just...wow. But then again, Super Mario Sunshine is the only
Mario game (main series, of course) released on a console in the last

Especially when you consider that to be perfect, you had to pick

for an upset that would mean big points, KH>MG was the only feasible
one. As much as I was for KH < Halo, it's not like there weren't any signs pointing to KH being a bad pick... there has been absolutely nothing to ever show that Metal Gear would lose to Kingdom Hearts, especially with all the contest reps we've seen out of the two. And I find taking upsets for the sake of taking upsets completely ridiculous and stupid, so I consider that under "stupid." I agree with those who said it's early to tell if its aged well or not,
but in some ways I think it has aged awesomely as hell. When I think of
games that aged well, I think of aging as in, they're still fun to go
back and revisit, ie, they'll still hold up. However, aging in melee's
case, aging means...it's just been consistently awesome to play every
day since it came out. Like, if people said Perfect Dark ages well, I
think they mean they can still play it. With melee, people still are
playing it. Granted, it is still comparatively early, but, ssbm is

idiotic, take a look at what one game is doing right now. Do you truly believe that SSBM would be that much weaker without SSB? Sure SSBM probably gives it a healthy boost, but so did KHII to KH (so I think), but it's not like MG hasn't had a new release since we've seen any MG games in action either. There are plenty of games I'll still go and play regularly
that are about as old as SSBM... even older. It's hardly impressive,
the system it's on is still the current generation system for

The fact that Mario has been relegated to endless streams of remakes
aside from NSMB on the handhelds has pissed me off from day one. At
this point, I've almost given up on Nintendo handheld games (shocking,
