Yeah, I was actually thinking about lowering my SMB/SSB prediction a little bit, too. I didn't believe SSB was going to get crushed like some people thought. well, Mario goes up, but not nearly as high as one would think. looks

Who's had more impressive day votes? Melee or Mario? I doubt it's going to make much of a difference one way or the other in terms of significant percentage shifts. Nothing is certain after five minutes, but the following arguments do look better right now: 1. Diablo and Warcraft (and, as such, GTA) are all very, very weak. 2. Super Smash Bros. is most likely the fourth strongest series on this site. 3. I think 20 perfects falling on MG/KH should cause more concern than
silly percentages! Srsly... the fact that only 27/47 got that match
right is amazingly sad. This almost assures me that if we had a 64
entrant field, even if it was all fodder, these bastards would not have

This is pretty much in line with what I was expecting SMB is a very storied series, reaching 20 years into the past. I think series like that tend to lose luster the older they become, but still retain the tried-and-true nostalgia backers. SSB has a large fanbase consisting of younger Nintnedo fans who are more Internet-friendly. I'm predicting a 64-36 split by the time it's all said and done. --- ¤ ¹ ² ³ ² ¹ ¤ |

Well, let's think about it like this: Super Smash Bros. Melee has been THE Nintendo game of the past five years. It's also the most popular Nintendo game since Ocarina of Time. Obviously, this surprises the hell out of me, but I'm not thinking this is Mario weakness. In my opinion, this all rests on the shoulders of one game; one game that has arguably been the lone savior for Nintendo fans since 2001. --- Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your WOOOOOOOOORLD!!! |

I don't think picking KH to win was stupid per se. Hopeful, maybe, but
definitely not stupid. If anyone wanted an upset not called Zelda over

NintendoFAQs will ensure Mario doesn't get destroyed by any stretch of
