Yep. I'm loving what I'm seeing. Still pondering who I'll vote for in Mario/FF. In terms of personal preference, I have FF7 > SM64 > FF6 > all other Mario games, but then again I've only played two FFs and I've been playing with Mario for so long it'd feel awkward to vote against him. --- i thought people on gamefaqs had good taste in games i guess i was wrong -EstUmbra Oooh... I'll be voting for Mario against FF, but not Super Smash Bros. For me, Melee might even be my favorite "Mario" game of all time; my older sister and younger brother put so much play time into that by ourselves and with friends that the fact that it's still very enjoyable is amazing. I've seen Super Smash get a lot of backlash from its supporters going into tomorrow's match, and I don't think it's entirely justified. Yes, Mario is a better "series," but Smash is, I think I"ve said this before, the best series with Mario in it ending the N64 generation and continuing into this one. Nah, asking for the upset is asking for too much, but I'd give anything to see this happen: Twenty seconds in: Mario snaps up the board vote and has 53-55%. No one is too surprised. First update: Mario with 51.02%. Some people start to get worried, but the more levelheaded Board 8ers assure everyone that Final Fantasy has already calmed the storm and would definitely be in the lead by the next update. Second update: Mario with 51.33%. Mario GAINS?!?!? | If SMB didn't have to face Zelda afterwards, I would love to see an upset over FF. But I don't want to cheat myself of Zelda vs FF, the glory belongs to Link as usual. |

three points: - Mario's gonna kill SSB - the TOC was cool, but it needs to be a one-time thing - seeing how FF has absolutely sucked with the board vote, Mario might take a good 55% in the first few minutes. (this is assuming the board doesn't bracket vote when it's close, which it's seemed to do in every single match this contest) --- xyzzy I lost a sig bet to War13104. Yes, the same guy who had Kefka over Crono. FOR THE HORDE! |

Am I the only one who believes that Peach wouldn't amount to anything
in this contest? There's nothing that leads me to believe the Nintendo
fanbase cares about her. Hell, she got much less support in that

Am I the only one who believes that Peach wouldn't amount to anything in this contest? I've said it all along. I'd struggle to pick her to beat Wario. At the 16:00 mark, this match has 99041 votes. To compare with other matches at the same time: Castlevania/Kingdom Hearts - 94271 Sonic/SSB - 89300 Final Fantasy/Mega Man - 98596 Zelda/Metroid - 97497 Wow, ahead of even FF/Mega Man. Impressive. Metal Gear's current percentage: 59.29% From this point, Metal Gear lost 0.38% against Soul Calibur. From this point, Metal Gear lost 0.56% against Fire Emblem. The shocking thing to me is that Amy Rose almost has double-digit

Since I'll attribute the high vote totals to KH being the bigger draw
than MG (since I can, you know, just decide that this is so), will KH
ever reach a point that it can compete with Metal Gear? Looking back on
that sentence, those two thoughts aren't linked, but who cares. If
KHIII is a huge success, and there's another ds/psp release between it,

Seriously though, many of the top nomination getters on the boards
won't get in, and we know it. CATS is about the only joke staple he
allows, and he's said as much. CATS regularly dominates board

One more female slot left. I'm leaning towards either Kitana, Mai(KoF),
Freya, or Aya Brea, but those all feel like those would be wasted noms.
