Yeah, this really does suck, and I feel like I want to reneg on the
nomination rally, but then it defeats the entire purpose of it.... I
mean honestly, 5 males from the nomination rally (one of them is my
love though), one to the guru (it'll most likely be a male), and then

No kidding. I want to nominate Squall just because he's my favorite,

Yeah, that's my problem with Serge, Seifer, and Laguna. With an
exceptionally limited number of males a possibility, the chances of

Why is everyone assuming that it'll be divided? Perhaps Ceej is just
using this as a means to guarentee a large shakeup in the bracket. catching up, so I'm only here, but thank you! The quick leap seemed to be that it was half male, half female. BTW, here's a list of every (clearly) female character to ever get into
a contest. And I say "clearly" so I can exclude Mother Brain, because
it's a damn computer, not a woman. Heh, my females list is filling up faster than my males list. Whenever
I think of nominating a male, I figure that the character is pretty
much guaranteed not to get in anyway, so what's the point? --- Pity for the guilty is treason to the innocent. |

I'm also hesitant about nominating all five of the offseason contest
winners. I know we all committed to it, but between that and guru, like
it's been said, that leaves us each with only one male spot. I think, if it hasn't been done already, there should be an official topic with the five and maybe reduce them to three, somehow. There's probably enough time/enough people to effectively reduce the field. Also, with the insane participation that contest and guru both received, a lot of strong competitors could even miss the field if everyone's stuck nominating the same six characters. Bowser, Ganondorf, Yoshi, Dante, etc. If each can only be your seventh slot....well, I'd assume the number of available noms dwindles significantly. --- Revenge is a dish best served cold. ~ Old Klingon Proverb |

it's gonna be even worse. ah well. let's hope it turns out well. Agreed. I've always been a proponent for tag-team, but not in place of the traditional character battle. Hell, at least wait until we have a perfect bracket to even think about mixing it up.
