The Boss will certainly get in, but she'd have to be doing real good to make it past the second round (assuming one side is all-female). Big Boss' performance doesn't inspire much hope. I, personally, would take The Boss over Big Boss. wasting two great matches & throwing one of them to Samus before

Considering how incredibly fodderific the female side of the bracket
would be if Ceej decides to split the bracket between males and
females, The Boss would actually perform decently then get crushed by a

Tifa/Aeris would be the best match of an all-girl contest, and chances
are it wouldn't be close. it'd only be good because it's unpredictable.

True HM. The only females that have a chance of not being fodder are Zelda Samus Tifa Aeris Yuffie Peach Chun-Li Yuna Rikku Epona is a slight possibilty of escaping it. I dont know if any other fighter besides Chun-Li can. Sonya Blade is the first that comes to mind and she would be fodder. Rayne would be. Really thats it. --- --NL-- Where am I? |

Lots of complaining about fodderific females, just to try to name as
many as I personally can that would do all right for themselves. Samus Zelda Aeris Tifa Peach Yuna Rikku KOS-MOS The Boss (probably would help if she had a name) ...whoa, break for a second, how come no one ever mentions Eva? we don't like her?, I'd say the boss and her do about the same... Rinoa/Ultimacia (sp)/Quistis - one of them could do okay? Jill Valentine Yuffie Kairi- eh, to an extent, at least (and another person I've not seen mentioned at all, but in her case, it's understandable) so that's 13ish/32. I don't know, it just doesn't bother me as much as everyone else. Have one character start the match (preferably the weaker one), then the "anchor" will finish the match after 12 hours. This way even the weaker character can't easily be masked by the dominant partner. Thoughts? |

I guess I'll give my input here. Over: 2.5 Final Fantasy X characters. At least three (Auron, Yuna, Rikku), and MAYBE as many as five (Tidus and Lulu) Over: 2.5 Tales of Symphonia characters. I'll actually go over and say Kratos, Sheena, and Presea (hoping!) get in. Over: 3.5 Final Fantasy VII characters in the bracket combined. From the early look of board nominations, it seems like Yuffie has a good chance of getting in, and I'll say she will. Throw in Vincent, Tifa, and Aeris for good measure. Over: 1.5 Metal Gear characters in the bracket combined. Solid Snake is a given, and I think The Boss has enough of a following to get in. Wouldn't be surprised to see Meryl either, and maybe Ocelot or Liquid. Under: 2.5 Final Fantasy VI characters in the bracket combined. I'll say under. I think Kefka and Celes get in. Terra might, but I doubt it. Over: 1.5 Sonic characters in the bracket combined. This is me being hopeful and saying Knuckles at least gets in. Over: 1.5 Kingdom Hearts characters in the bracket combined. Even if Riku misses out, I say Kairi gets in for the females. Over: 2.5 Chrono Trigger characters in the bracket combined. Crono and Magus get in, and if Lavos can get in the Villains Contest, I have to believe at least Marle can get in for females. Under: 1.5 Mortal Kombat characters in the bracket combined. Sub-Zero is it, I think. Sonya Blade or Kitana, MAYBE, but that's a stretch. Under: 2.5 Street Fighter characters in the bracket combined. I'll reserve my judgment on FE for when Metal Gear goes up against
Zelda. If it can impress (i.e. secure 4th strongest series title), I'll
consider something from Fire Emblem, though it seems like it suffers
from 'ensemble cast' syndrome much like FFVI does (*NOT* A GOOD SIGN). Of course if MG bombs or struggles/loses against Kingdom Hearts, I won't even bother. --- Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are codes of behavior. |

Under: 2.5 Tales of Symphonia characters in the bracket combined I don't expect the rallies for Lloyd and Kratos to be very big this year, and with a smaller field, that could kick them out. Sheena and Presea are possibilities, and maybe Kratos, but likely not all three. Over: 3.5 Final Fantasy VII characters in the bracket combined Cloud and Sephiroth are locks, and Tifa and Aeris will probably both return. Vincent's chances are pretty good too, I think. Excluding Cloud and Sephiroth... eh, I don't really like Yuffie's chances, so under. Over: 1.5 Metal Gear characters in the bracket combined Raiden, Ocelot, Liquid and The Boss probably don't have the bst chances in the world, but at least one of them should make it... Under: 2.5 Final Fantasy VI characters in the bracket combined Terra and Celes are possible, but Kefka's chances to return seem rather low and I don't see anyone else making it. Over: 1.5 Sonic characters in the bracket combined Knuckles/Snake in round 1. Over: 1.5 Kingdom Hearts characters in the bracket combined Sora and Riku both have pretty good chances to return, and while I wouldn't count on Riku, Axel or Roxas taking his place wouldn't surprise me. Over: 2.5 Chrono Trigger characters in the bracket combined Crono is a lock, and while Magus and Frog's returns are in doubt, Magus should still return, and Lucca or Marle wouldn't be too surprising. Under: 1.5 Mortal Kombat characters in the bracket combined Sub-Zero is possible, but after that...
