I personally think Mario 3 wouldn't destroy SSBM with SFF, but maybe
that's just me. It'd get a decent amount, but not a clobbering by any

we should take Master Hand and extrapolate his percentage on Mario, assuming no SFF! Mario (2005c) VS Master Hand (2005v) Mario has a strength of 43.20. Master Hand has a strength of 13.61. Mario wins with 84.25% of the vote! A win of 64,594 with 94,304 total votes cast. With 2004 Mario, it's 81.75%, which sounds alot more reasonable for SMB/SSB. --- Moltar Status: Disappointed, I lost my perfect bracket. Actually, if Final Fantasy gets 80% or better on RE, Shadow Hearts will
be worth less than 5% on FF. However, Kirby will be worth about 9% at

I don't think Mario 3 destroys SSBM with SFF either.. but you see,
every trend in this contest has gone towards series with longevity, and
the Mario series is a whole lot more than just Mario 3. add to it that

My world view does not accept the idea that MMX is stronger here than
Metroid, for some reason... and yet for that to be true I'd have to
accept the notion that Star Ocean is stronger than Suikoden. Maybe

Zelda would have to show some serious weakness for me to think it could

I think the voters need to be given some credit though. They probably
recognise Metroid as being a lot more associated with Nintendo (y'know,

Yoshi is more associated with Nintendo than Mega Man, and all that got
him was a whipping that put him below Leon Kennedy. SFF doesn't mean
the voters are stupid. It just means that they tend to share the same

The extent to which Zelda is SFFing Metroid today is immense. Firstly: http://www.gamefaqscontests.com/drupal/node/22?matchnum=1750 (I would have loaded the actual poll but it wouldn't work for either me nor my friend) And now look at today's match. Zelda is SFFing Metroid almost as badly as Link SFFed Ganondorf, who is from Link's series. All Zelda and Metroid share is the same COMPANY. Not to mention the fact that Samus could not SFF Ganondorf - at least, not much. You have to keep in mind that Ganondorf is much stronger relative to
Link than Metroid is to Zelda. Realistically Ganondorf gets into the
thirties on BL, I can't see Metroid escaping the tripling on this
