Fun fact: NOBODY picked Castlevania in the BOP to win its division. Not that I'm worrying about it, but it's still fun to know. For whatever reason, I figured MG overkilling SC would raise expectations far beyond what was doable. But, it didn't overkill...as I just posted in another topic, Soul Calibur overperformed its Oracle consensus by a fraction of a percent. Metroid/Pokémon is the biggest success of BOP entrants so far in this
contest compared to total brackets, with a 31.43% difference. However,

i still see no way that Castlevania can beat MGS. i would have taken
MGS over Halo with at least 60% before Halo vs. CV (not that my
percentages have been accurate this contest, but meh). after seeing FE
outperform SC, i have restored my faith that KH still has a slight
chance of beating MGS. i really didn't think FE would be stronger than
SC, though. i DEFINITELY would not have picked Silent Hill over Soul

typical stat topic reaction: - favourite loses - instead of the favourite being overrated, the underdog is suddenly a sexy pick to win every match thereafter CV winning reminds me of Knuckles and how Knuckles was the analysis crew favourite vs. Squall. CV winning reminds me of Knuckles and how Knuckles was the analysis
crew favourite vs. Squall. I'm not saying it can't win, but I'm
sticking with KH. I'm looking really forward to the match and hope CV

To be honest, I was seeing all those people toting Knuckles as a
genuine threat to Squall, and saying, what the **** are these guys
thinking? There was no doubt in my mind from the moment Magus lost that

You just go on thinking that. I hope you are simply being facetious, because otherwise that is absurd. When talking about favorites/upsets/overkills/underperformances, one's own expectations are meaningless. Favorites/underdogs and such only have definition in a group context.
