I don't think that chrono would be all that strong as a series either.
Call me crazy, but I don't think I'd take it over any of the one or two

as for Chrono, it may not be a top five series, but it still beats
half the series in the field. it obviously deserves to be in the field
of 32. Not being in reflects a larger problem with the brackets, which is that board 8 pretty much controlled the nomination process. it's not really that bad... but board 8 nominated assuming that

I think the Chrono series beats everything but Mario, Zelda, and FF.
Even the one game is good enough, and CC is nowhere near as hated as B8

Speaking of KotOR, there's another series that should've made it in over some pathetic fodder like ****ing Shadow Hearts. Probably wouldn't have fared that well, especially since it's yet another two-game series that only became popular recently, but it would've still done better than Tanner Hearts. --- sig |

And if SSB/SSBM is really that big of a difference maker when it
comes to character strength...then I shudder to think what Snake will
do. Some think it's crazy, but something like Snake in SSBB is very, very significant as far as contest boosts go, I think. Just knowing that Snake is in a game that is going to sell millions and millions to a Nintendo fanbase that may not necessarily be Metal Gear fans, or even know about Metal Gear, is pretty damn good. I know the spelling errors were a big reason it didnt get in, but Cjay said even without those it would have only been a 7 seed. Indeed. Oh yeah, Seiken Densetsu > Final Fantasy. Phoenix Wright would've bombed, but at least the board would've been a blast. It definitely should've made it in sheerly for humor value. And I still think PW would kick SH's ass. We should start a nomination rally for Phoenix Wright. --- sig |

Worry not! With the release of the original two Metal Gear games as a
part of MGS3: Subsistence, Snake's picture "disadvantage" lessens! It's
more recognizable now! And how in the world can ANYONE say that this
looks worse than what he got against Frog? That sprite was solid brown
(pun intended). This one against Fire Emblem actually looks like an

I don't see Chrono having the strength I envisioned it to have at the
beginning of this contest. Sure, I feel borderline mentally deficient
after thinking Metroid might give it a run, but that's Samus' fault. I

This match is still taking time to sink in. I mean, without the Prime

The Halo board was better than normal (which is very, very weird
considering the attitude of most Halo fans) but you almost always see
