I wish one of these rounds would either focus on something symbollic in
the series (for example, LoZ would have the Triforce) or the most
common generic enemy/character (FF/MM could be a chocobo and a metool)
to represent each contestant. A series focuses on more than its biggest
characters, and I think those two would be sweet ideas at one time in

Metal Gear might lose to Kingdom Hearts/Castlevania. Sprites have always been Snake's weakness. Ehh, you're overrating the effect it's going to have on Metal Gear and its opponent's chances. It wouldn't be in any advantage of Metal Gear's, but it would be in no danger of actually losing. The cardboard box that you have is ideal for fooling your enemies. It's
a very important tool for infiltration missions. I can't begin to count
the number of agents whose lives were saved by a cardboard box...I'm
not exaggerating when I say the success of your mission hinges on how
you use that cardboard box. But in the end, a cardboard box is only
made of paper. Handle it with care or it won't be of much use to you.

With the generic enemy idea though, I see a problem would pose for
SF/RE, since I don't think there's really any for SF. Maybe that pic
could be made into where it had, say, M. Bison or even Akuma against

If we ever get to a point where Kingdom Hearts gets to be included in a
user made match picture, Captain Jack Sparrow had better find himself

As others have said, this speaks more of how utterly weak Shadow Hearts

I'm trying to think of something to say but I just can't. This match is
dreadfully boring. Shadow hearts has just proven itself yet again to be
a series with a very small cult following that will get it into
contests, even though it has no real strength to speak of. Yuri was one
of the weakest characters we've ever seen, and SH is quite possibly the
weakest series in the contest, which is almost hard to believe after

I can't see how Shadow Hearts escapes being the weakest series of the
contest (not in the x-stats, just logically). Resident Evil is as of
right now getting 88% on it, and RE is nowhere near Super Mario
Brothers' thought processes, let alone its actual league. For Shadow
Hearts to be getting killed like this against such a weaker series just
speaks volumes as to how fodderific this thing is. I had heard of every
one of these series outside this contest except for Shadow Hearts, and
the only thing I would expect it to give a match would be
Madden...*maybe*. ...that's bad. --- Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are codes of behavior. |

that's an awful picture of Shadow Hearts. that said, I'm kinda shocked
that anyone is surprised here. Shadow Hearts over Suikoden? that's
crazy talk - even when a new SH game comes out, it doesn't reach the
top 10 FAQs. SH is most definitely the weakest entrant in the field,
and the only series that it could potentially beat is Madden because of
the anti-votes. I'm also kind of surprised at all the SF > RE talk. when did this bandwagon start? it seems to have picked up some steam overnight. --- xyzzy I lost a sig bet to War13104. Yes, the same guy who had Kefka over Crono. FOR THE HORDE! |

WTF at today's percentage? Glad I have RE now... FWIW, why I brought up those fact or fictions... FACT or FICTION: If rerun today, Vice City wouldn't manage 40% on SSBM. #1 SSBM #11 San Andreas #64 Vice City (same ballpark as those monsters of today's gaming scene, Metal Slug and Ratchet and Clank) FACT or FICTION: Warcraft 3 would be the single strongest Blizzard game in a games contest, and Diablo 2 would be comfortably weaker than Starcraft. #18 WC3 #22 SC (#29 WoW) #34 D2 FACT or FICTION: Metal Gear Solid is the strongest MGS game. #14 MGS #20 MGS3 (MGS2 nowhere) FACT or FICTION: Halo would beat Half-Life in a series match, but only just. #3 Halo 2 #4 HL #5 Halo #7 HL2 (lol, casuals and FPS's) FACT or FICTION: God of War would not be completely disgraced (i.e. fodder) if it showed up in a games contest any time soon. #26 Zelda: Majora's Mask #25 God of War #24 Super Mario World #23 Super Smash Bros #22 Starcraft #21 Earthbound Brought up seeing how it's been out a while and still came highly. --- Jon Thomson - CATS, Jay Solano, Ridley, Scorpion, Alien Hominid, Duke Nukem, The Prince, Johnny Rocketfingers, two TBA |
