Sometimes, I bump games/characters to a higher or lower seed,
depending on mitigating factors (lower seeds for "rallied" characters
that won't do as well among the general public, higher seeds for ones
appearing in brand new games). lol 3 seed curse Going back now, if I tally up all the people who nominated both "Crono", "Chrono", and "Crhono" ... (does some math)... the game might have been a 7 seed, but still more than likely doomed for an early exit. Really now? Actually, I think there is a slight amount of SFF in this match, since
big fans of Mega Man Soccer would logically also be fans of a sports
game spinoff of another famous platformer series, so they would vote
Mario Kart against most but not against Mega Man because it is

lol Chrono Chrono probably takes out all the 2-seeds aside from SSB with minimal effort...but I'm more convinced than ever people are taking entire series into mind when voting. I wouldn't be terribly shocked to see Metroid give it a fight or even upset (lol 2 over 7 upset). --- Commit it to memory. |

With the way this contest has been playing out, do you really think
Chrono could be that strong essentially relying on Chrono Trigger?
Sure, it's strong, but still...I don't know how much Chrono Cross would

At this point in time I would not take Chrono over Metroid. Or SSB. I'd
have a hard time deciding between it and Resident Evil... but we'll

isn't a good success rate." True, but keep in mind that correlation is not causation. Most of the two-hit wonders we've seen are very recent, whereas the long-running series are older. This could simply belie a bias for older games, or at the least a bias against this generation of games instead of the fact that people prefer long series. Mega could end up above 60% here soon...damn. You *can* be
a strong series without a super strong game, and this proves it right
here. I would never take any MM game over the MK heavy-hitters, and yet
Mega Man is just owning like mad here. The quality of quantity,

I seriously doubt series are benefiting from being older. It's named
best series ever for a reason, and it's been shown that the voters are
voting based on the series merits. They're voting wrong today then! : ( Even though I know nothing about Megaman, I'll claim Mario Kart is infinitely better than it.
