If Pokemon gets 25% on Metroid gets 25% on Legend of Zelda gets 40% of
FF (a more or less worse case scenario), Star Ocean ends up at 6.85%.
Not quite challenging Tanner, but pretty damn low. Madden will probably end up in the 5.5-6.2% range (35-40% for SMB); again, not quite challenging our good friend Tanner. This is absurd. I was considering voting FF because I do like it more... but damn, I'm glad I didn't. Diablo needs our pity. Consider if Diablo beats Warcraft. Then consider FF getting 85% on GTA?! Actually, I do find it interesting to see how high Final Fantasy can go. Of course, I think I'm in the minority because it was part of the reason I didn't want Clinkeroth pulled from the main bracket. And then there's taking into account the general wisdom that series

As for all this GTA talk. Diablo vs. Warcraft is debatable, but make no
mistake: Final Fantasy would make Grand Theft Auto look like a jobber

I think Nintendo beats Final Fantasy... Nintendo's just got alot more
to it than a company name, and it's a very recognizable company name,

well, it isn't hard to make up percentage when you're getting beat down
this badly, and Diablo the character had a pretty nice day vote. we'll
see if Diablo can make this respectable. I'm kinda glad this is happening because a lot of people here would have overestimated Diablo 2 had it made the games contest. (Diablo 2 = Starcraft on the list, anyone? not to mention a game that never leaves the top 50? and battle.net support?) --- xyzzy I lost a sig bet to War13104.
