Series I Think Diablo Would Beat: Civilization Suikoden Pokemon Star Ocean Kirby Fire Emblem Silent Hill Harvest Moon Madden NFL Dragon Quest The Elder Scrolls Shadow Hearts Those are the ones I'm reasonably sure of (12 in all), and there's a few more I'd take but woudn't be *too* confident in..so yeah, half the field. It is very possible that FF really is this strong. I mean, FF has an
extremely diverse fanbase because the games are so different. Add on
the fact that FFVII is already the most popular game on this site, with
many others in "elite status". Not to mention the series is well
established, having been around since the NES days and spanning

And I love how quickly this board changes its opinion on what will
happen in the contest depending on what happens in a match compared to

Heh, we all have emotional attachments to certain
series/games/characters that might influence us when trying to debate.
Had Final Fantasy been doing this against KotOR, I'd be claiming that

You know, it really sucks that three (and quite possibly four, should
SSB beat Sonic) of the Nintendo series in this contest will be hit with
some degree of SFF. How great will it be? We have no idea, but I do
believe there will be some, and I do believe that it will skew the
rankings. Another thought: could you imagine how laughably weak 30 the entrants would look had the final four paired up Zelda with Mario and Final Fantasy with Metal Gear? Oh maaaaan. --- Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your WOOOOOOOOORLD!!! |

Sf can't beat RE, if TES beats it first! TES is probably has the most unpredictable pic though. This match is just boring to watch. Nothing seems to be happening in
percentage. Mario kart vs. mega man should provide at least some

Why in the world would you ask who the Nintendites would side with between Kirby and Diablo when the match was Ridley/Diablo? To extend, a lot of people here HAVE played Diablo, and I'm sure they
prefer it to Kirby. Hell, even with mass rallying or whatever you want
to call it, Starcraft still gets very very close to Wind Waker, and I'm

I'm in the same boat as you, KH, at least when I try to pick that match
apart using logic. Street Fighter II didn't perform very well in the
games contest, it's obviously the strongest game that the series has to
offer, and there's no way the series as a whole could have gained any

Ridley isn't close to Kirby, but the point is you can't expect the site
to universally side with a certain contestant based on affiliation,
even if it is Nintendo. Even if you believe that Starcraft is miles out
of Diablo's league, the fact is that as a PC game it got plenty of
votes against Nintendo games that are simply not in Kirby's class. The
affiliation isn't the thing that matters most, it's the intrinsic
strength of the games. In that respect, I think Diablo trumps Kirby
