And yeah, I suppose I'll need to see what Metal Gear does to Fire
Emblem before I definitively say FE > DQ. I'm not quite expecting a
quadrupling there though. A tripling is good, but probably not that

Fire Emblem AND Dragon Quest are ultra-weak here, make no mistake about
that. I still give FE the edge -- it's Nintendo, and judging from polls
appears to have more titles that people care about. --- Commit it to memory. |

bah, it's just those traditionlists.. I think SSB shouldn't be tossed
over as if it's some psuedo-fighting game. HP bars and KOs (well, you
know what I mean) sure don't change anything about a fighting, in my

Eh? People would take FE over DQ? I'd expect something like 65% for
DQ in a match like that. FE is one of the weakest entries in the
contest. MGS will likely go 80%+ on it. 86%, I'd say. I really don't think so, I'd take Fire Emblem over Dragon Quest. Don't forget that Fire Emblem was on the GameCube. That's pretty big. But Dragon Quest 8 is on the PS2. Doesn't that kinda negate that
argument? I'd even go as far as to say that DQ8 received more fanfare. I'd struggle with that match. Dragon Quest is doing just as I expected...my Oracle pick was for the
72% range...beautiful. Sonic will have no difficulty in Round 2...and
the sound of crumbling brackets is music to my ears. 200 broken by Sonic last night...nice. wow. i'm impressed that DQ keeps climbing up with the percentage, that
was actually a pretty big jump on the last 5 minute update - from

The popularity of the DQ series is baffling to me, anyway. It's just one incredibly generic RPG after another with an undeveloped plot and characters, combined with boring battle systems, annoying save systems (having to go to a church every time I want to save is not "charm", it's just ANNOYING), and obnoxiously repetitive soundtracks. Not to mention the ridiculous random encounter rate in each game and the incredibly tedious hours one has to spend raising money for new equipment. Dragon Quest sucks. --- "Thank you, Mario.
