SSB's been around 76.1% for a while now. And if Sonic manages to pull off the upset I think Tai's reaction will make it infinitely more tolerable for those that picked SSB. --- Commit it to memory. |

"*sigh* Mega Man is not all that old school. MM1 is not even three years older than SMK." 1: Mega Man came out on the NES. It had 5 sequels on the NES. By that fact alone, it's old school. 2: MM1 came out Dec. 87. Super Mario Kart came out September 92. That's nearly a 5 year difference in age, not less than 3 as you'd say. 3: To put it in perspective, Mega Man V came out in December 92, a couple months after SMK came out. Considering the release of the games, and that there were 4 games before SMK, Mega Man is pretty ****ing old school. |

FACT or FICTION: If Mega Man's games had been cross systemed every step
of the way (ie. Mega Man's on Sega Genesis, N64, etc.) Megaman >

I'm pretty sure the majority of voters don't even know what DQ *is*.
It's the same way Nintendo doesn't = instant win (as MG/FE will show us

Megaman/Mario Kart is like Fire Emblem/Silent Hill for me. Mario Kart
might win, simply because it's untested data, but common sense simply

Silly noobs... Mega Man will win because everyone who loves Mega, Mega
X, Zero, Proto, Dr. Wily, and so forth and so on will vote for both MMX
and MM in this tourney. Mario Kart just dont got the stuff. Infact, only Zelda, Mario Bros, and FF are the only series here that could (and will) take out MMX and MM... Metroid? Nope its overrated. Every time I hear MMX > MM based on that stupid poll I feel like
jabbing myself in the eye with a rusty spoon. Indirectly I take it
every time. Well, the Zero/Protoman match is another good piece of evidence. Of course, Wily did place much higher than Sigma in the Villains Contest stats, but Sigma went up against Bowser. --- Board 8: Where people treat each other right. |

Well, the Zero/Protoman match is another good piece of evidence. Not really. Zero and Protoman, despite their apparent similarities, are about as far apart as you can get. Zero is the super-uber badass with a sword that is PLAYABLE in X3 and up, Protoman is far less prominent and is not playable in the main series. Of course, Wily did place much higher than Sigma in the Villains Contest stats, but Sigma went up against Bowser. Yeah, but Sigma also bombed against Andross. I don't see Monkey-head being that close to Ocelot, frankly. --- Commit it to memory. |

Mario Kart will win because everyone who loves Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Dry Bones, Wario, Waluigi, Toad, and R.O.B, and Daisy will vote for Mario Kart in this tourney. Silly X-Stats. Mega Man has already shown he can get SFF on Nintendo
characters, arguably getting more on Yoshi than Mario could get. I
can't see Ms. "I Can't SFF Anything" overcoming Mr. "I Was Adopted By
Nintendo At Birth" Mega Man > Samus if they meet in 2k6. Believe it! --- Commit it to memory. |

Could be a very debated match, but I'd take Samus. Nintendo at birth
and still on the big N's team. Unless you think Mega Man really can SFF
her enough to take it, Samus's 2004 match against Sonic is pretty tough

Samus's 2004 match against Sonic is pretty tough evidence to overlook. I have a hard time believing she'd get that much if that match took place again. Why do people keep saying Samus can't SFF anything? Ganondorf's below ZELDA in the Xstats for crying out loud! There's still the whole idea of Mario rSFFing Samus, y'know... And many don't buy Ganon being stronger than Zelda, either, or at least able to take her in a direct matchup. I do think Samus SFFed him a tad, but Ganon is such a leech I think that would be unavoidable in any Ninty matchup with him. --- Commit it to memory. |

Sonic > Mega Man TP will only give Ganon a shot at Snake. Anyone else is simply too established. The Elite Eight is far less likely to break than the Noble Nine, at least until 2k7. --- Commit it to memory. |

Ganondorf was barely above Bowser, who proved to be on Snake's level
last contest. Zelda got beaten by Snake 55-45. Of course Ganon's

And Ganondorf being that close to Zelda certainly isn't without
precedent. If you factor in that Magus was overrated in 2k3, it's

That depends on how credible you take those matches against Sephiroth.
Even Bowser in SC2K5 (with nothing to suggest he's underrated by the
stats) wouldn't be expected to pull a repeat performance of 40% on

Japanese release dates don't matter. 3. Five games in three years is worse than five games in thirteen years. That depends on how credible you take those matches against Sephiroth. I'm sorry, how does that make Bowser stronger than Ganondorf? It doesn't, but it suggests an overperformance on Sephiroth in the Villains Contest. If Ganon overperformed as well, it throws his placing into doubt -- a proportional overperformance for both is hardly a given. There's also Diablo, which, if you extrapolate through him in the Villains Contest and 2k5, makes Ganon seem significantly less beastly. --- Commit it to memory. |

Using him makes G-dorf look even better. I never said it did.
